I have been a working machine this weekend. I finished all the Louisiana mini sessions (those shares are coming soon once I hear back from everyone regarding their galleries) AND I finished proofing Jodie’s family beach session.

I am feeling a bit of pressure to post something really interesting after her well worded and thoughtful post when she shared our images. I love the way you say Momma with intensity, with urgency. “Daddy” is calm, “Taryn” is calm, “Ty” is calm, “Momma” is urgent. And loud. And funny.

I love the way you named your blankie “Mae”. You have no idea that Ty’s lovie when he was a baby was a dog named “Freckle Mae The Wonder Dog” or that when Taryn was born she renamed that dog “Mae Mae”. What are the odds you’d choose Mae for your lovie too with no encouragment.

About a week ago I was over reading Jodie Allens blog and found out she was heading to the beach the same time as us. Turns out we were going to be a few hours apart, but worked it out to meet in the middle and swap sessions on the beach. I was thrilled to get to meet her and have her photograph my family! I love her work, she sees beauty in places so many of us overlook.
