things are getting better.  still lots of work to do to get everything back where it goes, but it’s getting better.  thankfully.

just a quick post to share one of my almost crawling, happy, funny, little banana loving dude…

oh – I had a few people say the large images are looking pixelated on their monitors….does this look funny to you?  I had to change up how I save for web for the new larger size and I don’t think I’ve got it right just yet….what do you see??

still dealing with the stink.

in the last 9 days we’ve…..

learned more than we ever wanted to know about what comes out of a skunk’s ass. no kidding. i can tell you how to get rid of a skunk, how to deter them from your property (it involves fox urine…..ick and motion lights), how to bathe your animal after an attack, how to clean your home and everything in it to rid the horrible, awful smell.

we’ve scrubbed, scoured, brushed, cleaned, disinfected, wiped every single surface, bleached every single toy, washed and sanitized every single dish, spoon, fork….you name it.

we’ve thrown away food. we’ve done 40+ loads of laundry (with at least another 50 to go). we’ve carried […]

So much has changed for us.  Three years ago, we were just home from the hospital with Taryn, enjoying our beautiful little honeymoon baby.  Our security, our lives as we knew it, our home, everything, was changed in an instant though.

Last year, I couldn’t face the anniversary of the storm.  It was too much.  Even two years later, living it every single day.  Rebuilding took forever.  Our normal, was a new normal.  An unfair normal.  One we resented.  I still resent the fact that she stole Taryn’s early days of being a baby from us.  That time we’ll never get back.  She changed our children, our marriage.  We went through so much, Jason and I.  We got married in Hawaii, […]

lovey

Teagan got a little crazy with the baby food this morning, so once again he needed a mid-day bath. He’s such a blankie boy, loves his lovey. He rubs his little face with it, snuggles with it, it’s the first thing he looks for when he wakes up, gets tired or gets out of his bath. I love it when he pulls it up over his head, it cracks me up when he’s sitting up and all of a sudden, he’s hidden under it, funny boy. I took this after his bath, he was rolling around on the bed, tangled up in his lovey.

alright, let’s get this party started

First a photo by Ty and then a story about him…he took this with the 5D last week.

Ty came home from school on Monday and immediately let me know that the little girl responsible for the whole dog bite incident last year was in his class. Of course, this means we had to have him moved into another class. Both because Ty deserves to be in a peaceful and positive learning environment and because we are being forced into a a lawsuit with the family as they have refused to take responsibility with neither us nor the insurance company. It’s likely […]

Welcome to my new blog!

2008-08-26T23:43:38-05:00August 26th, 2008|Announcements, Client Work, My Family|

Hi everyone! Thanks for following me through my move and for all your votes, feedback and thoughts on how to handle the move. As you can see, I’ve opted to keep my business and personal blog all mixed in to one. It would have been difficult for me to separate it all out, my work is intertwined, one depends on the other, and I’m so glad that almost 80% of you guys feel the same way!

A couple of things to note…..

  • My archives are here – yeehaw! (My Texas born and raised husband would be so proud over my use of that!)
  • If you go up to the “Links” tab above, you’ll see a lot of my old content […]
