my very first Austin urban couples session….and it was a blast!  cristina first contacted me and we talked about doing a couples session because they weren’t thrilled with their wedding photos.  i could immediately relate to that.  in fact, we only have one hanging in our home, so i know the sadness that comes with that disappointment.  i’m so glad they decided to do this session as a way to make up for it, a way to capture them as they are, young and in love, pretty close to the beginning of their journey.  i have been really excited about this session because i wanted to give them something special, i wanted them to be excited about their new photos, […]

MC and I had a maternity session tonight that was a blast, these two were a riot and had us laughing the whole time!  I thought I’d post an outtake first, because, well, I’m pretty sure after just thumbing through their images, this is my favorite!

hahaha!  I told y’all they were fun!  MC and I are even considering holding their images hostage unless they agree to be friends with us in real life LOL!

I think we’ll call this one “glowing”…cause […]

I received this invitation last week to attend an exclusive party for the Best of Austin by the Austin Chronicle at the Long Center for Performing Arts in downtown Austin. Jase and I went tonight and it was so much fun. Amazing people who are awesome at what they do at every table, good food, great music and just a total honor to be there with the very best that Austin has to offer. I was […]

alright, so i just finished up proofing the last of the mini sessions and i had these in the same folder so I pulled them really quick.  so fun!  the first round of mini’s, I had a friend help me out both days, but when i had a few makeups due to busted lips, etc., i had ty go with me for those.  he’s great at carrying stuff and making kids laugh most of the time (not on this particular day, but he did carry my stuff, so i can’t complain).  plus, he was happy to get out of the house for a few hours, i think he gets bummed when i get to go off and do shoots all […]

I’ve been waiting, and waiting, and waiting.  I needed a good morning without too much chaos, but most of all, I needed the perfect light.  Every morning I wake up and look out the window with disappointment, I knew what I was waiting for.  Until this morning….

There is a small patch of beautiful purple wildflowers at the front of our subdivision and each day I drive by them with this photo in my mind.  She gave me a good 15 minutes….a hundred images….I love them, every last one.

10 on Tuesday tomorrow – tune in!
