the quiet moments are rare

sweet baby, who woke too early from his nap.  who looked up me from his crib, still sleepy, but eyes open.  on any other day, your sister would have followed me in, with bouncy 3 year old energy.  you would have looked at her, your eyes would get big and bright and you’d smile at her and then laugh.  just like you always do.  and you’d be up.  and awake.  ready to play.  but today, that little 3 year old ball of energy was in school, and the house was quiet.  you looked up at me, i scooped you in to my arms with your favorite blankie, and we rocked.  you laid in my arms, quiet, just gazing at me.  […]

MC’s session in Georgetown, Texas

2019-07-23T11:02:17-05:00November 12th, 2008|Uncategorized|

I just finished proofing MC’s family session last night and I just love how they came out.  Jack, well, he steals the show.  How could he not with his cute little grin, a dimple, cute hats annnnnd cuffed, pinstripe pants.  MC had a professional stylist (I think that is what her title is anyways – sorry if that’s wrong) help dress them for their session and it totally paid off!  Back to gushing over Jack, that little guy loves the camera and the camera loves him.   Here are a few more (click here to see their sneak peek)…..eh, what the heck, click here to see the entire session!

a quick scheduling note…

2008-11-11T21:39:58-06:00November 11th, 2008|Announcements, Client Work|

I am officially booked for 2008.  I have left a little space open for newborns and births only, but if you are interested, please contact me asap.

I am presently booking for 2009.  I have only two spots open in January and three in February.  I have not yet opened up March, only because I’m still contemplating how to approach the inevitable craziness that is Texas blubonnet season LOL!

If you’d like to book a session, please contact me at lstradtner@mac.com

Thanks!

ps – If you are looking for a photographer who can do Christmas photos for you, drop me a line and I’ll be happy to give you a referral.

If you remember this photo of Taryn you deserve a cookie, cause you’ve been around awhile!  Funny girl, 9 months old herself.

I’ll admit, I set him up….funny how he knew just what to do.  The wipe on the head….that was alllllll him.  Swear.

Love my babies.

1.  Not only was yesterday our anniversary, but Teagan also turned 9 months old. It’s flying by.  I had a potential client email me about a session in February for her child’s first birthday.  My first thought was “oh wow, I need to be getting ready for that too!”  More emotional preparation than anything I think.

2.  He says “dada”.  With intent.  Love it.  It’s soooooo cute.  Jase melts and who can blame him.

3.  Thursday is the big day, Ty’s school play.  Can’t wait.  Gotta get there early to get a front row seat.

4.  Taryn saw this in a catalog and went crazy.  Why, on earth, such a thing as a pink christmas tree exists, is beyond me.  We planned […]

in every sense of the word.  little cash made his way into the world a little early and we had to put his newborn session off a bit until things got settled in.  i was nervous because 1) I was filling in for Michele for this shoot because she’s on maternity leave (uhm yeah, big shoes to fill!) and 2) he’s out of the “under two weeks is best” age….but he was awfully good to me.  he was game for just about anything, let us play, the perfect mix of sleepy and awake, he let us move him all we wanted, total rock star.  and the hair, love, love, love […]
