Doing a session for another photographer and their family, while a bit unnerving, is also one of my absolute favorite things to do!  And I’m in love with photographing teenagers, so I was in heaven during this session with Jenna and her beautiful family.  She mentioned to me that this might likely be their last full on family session before the oldest is out of the house and off to college.  Wow, what a responsibility placed upon me to capture them as they are right now, before so much change happens.  And I’m reminded, again, of how quickly times flies.  Their […]

Have you ever seen this?

The first time I saw it my very first thought was “Oh my, that is sooooooo Taryn”.  Living, breathing proof below!  Ha!  I caught this over the course of about 5 minutes.  I was laying on the floor in Jude’s room photographing Jonah and every so often I’d turn and snap a shot of T quietly reading her book in the hallway.  She didn’t notice till the end.  My funny girl, you make me laugh.

real. three photos, three stories.

Life in Motion Photography by Lyndsay Stradtner

My old website was super outdated, embarrassingly so.  Most of the photos on my old site were between 2 and 6 years old.  I considered just keeping my blog and ditching the website, but I wanted a place for my clients to always see my best foot forward, to view my work and to keep myself comfortable with being able to share family snapshots and simple little stories of our every day life here on my blog and not worry about those things being the all important first impression for a client.  Having a dedicated website gives me peace in knowing I […]

Miss Belle is also a little bitty thing weighing in at around 5 lbs at birth.  I also photographed her birth but I am still working on proofing those images (halfway done Pam!).  Her parents chose to have me proof her newborn photos first so they could get announcements out but I wanted to take a quick break and come share a few.  LOVED this session.  The color, the moments, everything.  When I arrived I asked if they were friendly with their neighbors because it would be great to use the flowers in their yard as a backdrop.  They thought I meant the beautiful, manicured yard two doors down…nope not me….I was drawn the house across the street that hadn’t […]
