Love this family. Love them. I love documenting a birth for a family, because it ties me to them. I cannot believe how much the kids have grown, how big and beautiful Lucy is. Her birth seems like it just happened yesterday. So many wonderful things, both professionally and personally have come my way because of these beautiful people….they are all kind and warm and just so genuine. I love that. I absolutely love this session, I had a hard time figuring out what to share. Jane is so sweet and bright. She’s filled with a million expressions and just such a happy girl. I was so hoping to capture that during our first session of many in the year to come.

With all of this talk of cancer research and MD Anderson and kicking cancer to the curb, Alex has been on my mind a lot. I know many of you were touched by his family and their story, so I wanted to post an update with his permission. Alex celebrated his birthday on the 4th and I left him a happy birthday message. I was so, so sad to hear the news that cancer has spread to his liver and he has started another round of treatment.
