who’s that?

Taryn points to the LCD as I’m taking these and says "dat Peanut Stradtner"….only "Stradtner" comes out more like "drat-der".  It melts my heart.  I decided to sit down with her this morning for a few quick shots since I didn’t do anything more "traditional" around her birthday.  Plus I figure I better take advantage of the pretty blue walls while we still own them…. even though I took these for the color, I’m on such a black and white kick lately… Now I’ve got to see if I can manage to catch Ty, he’s been avoiding the camera =)

1.  The big move.  I’ve been waiting to say anything about it until we told a few necessary people, first and foremost Jason’s employer (our families have known for awhile).  So where are we moving?  Austin, Texas!!  We are excited, nervous, anxious, just name an emotion and we’re there!  We’ve had a lot of time to think about it while rebuilding, we went for a visit earlier this year and loved it.  We’re closing on our house in Louisiana mid-October so we  should be in Texas by then.  I think it’s going to be a great place to raise our family, lots of young families, great neighborhoods, even better schools, tons of stuff to do.  We’ll be within driving distance […]

After 2.5 weeks of not so much as a nibble, not even a phone call and zero showings of our house, yesterday was the day.  An agent showed up unannounced during naptime with buyers in tow.  I had to ask them to come back because Little T was napping and it was time for Ty to get off the bus (ok, and cause the house was a mess too).  An hour and a half after frantically cleaning the house, waking T and loading up the kids and the dog to go drive around the neighborhood, they came back.  Viewed the house for around 20 minutes.  Yay, our first showing.
