I’m not a fan of “due dates”.

I’m not a fan of “due dates”. I haven’t been since long before this pregnancy. Working in the birth industry, I feel they do more harm than good. I wish they passed out “due months” instead. Doesn’t that sound so much better?  It’s really all just an estimate anyway. And picking one date, it seems silly to me. And it puts a lot of pressure on the mom.  The medical community uses it as an end all way to often and it frustrates me. All moms and babies are different.

I’ve been apprehensive to share my due date publicly and cringe every time someone asks online or in person. I realize it’s a harmless question each and every time it is […]

Teagan Jude:  Mom, I’m feeling a little gassy today.
Me:  Uhm, ok buddy.
Teagan June:  I think I need some of the goooooooood stuff.
Me:  haha….what good stuff?
Teagan Jude:  Hmmmmm, probiotics.  Let’s go with the apple cider vinegar today.  Maybe add a little honey, stir it up real good.  The goooooood stuff.
Me:  hahahaha….you got it kiddo.

Man I love this kid.  He cracks me up.  And I love that he’s so in tune with his body and what he needs.  They are listening and learning and I love that it is all sinking in.

Feeling brave today I suppose.  I normally don’t post many photos of myself, much less 10 months pregnant, belly and stretchmarks hanging out.  But this is it.  This is where I am right now.  Exhausted.  Waiting.  Ready.  Jase snapped this of me resting the other night after hours of contractions.  Jonah, we are so ready to have you in our arms, come on out little one.
