this post is really nothing more than my complete and total avoidance of housework while taryn and teagan are napping.  at least i’m honest 😉

why on earth would i want to do dishes all by myself when my ‘help’ is this cute??  his new favorite spot….

and one of little t at the park this morning….

right after i took this shot she hummed the acorn (she called it her coconut) in her hand at me and hit me in the eye.  i’m pretty glad it wasn’t the size of a coconut.  she grumbled through her 5 minute timeout on the park […]

1.  I said a little prayer for Taryn’s teacher as she headed out to school this morning.  Poor woman is going to need all the help she can get after Taryn’s day yesterday and morning this morning.  Jase joked he’d be dropping her at the door and running away as fast as he possibly can.  LOL  Three year olds are soooooo fun (wink wink).

2.  I have such an emotional attachment to my wedding rings, they were given to Jason by his grandmother who had also inherited them.  They were well over 100 years old when we got engaged in 2003.  We had them re-sized when I was at my thinnest (2 kids ago) and it has really been bothering me […]

I have been meaning to do this for awhile.  a couple of things to note….

this is going to make my mom very happy.

the lighting/color is all weird thanks to her chandelier being on.

i still don’t like the way i laugh.

she did not know i was recording her. she would have never agreed. i told her i took one pic and that was it. i am without scrouples.

she will not do this with more than one person in the room.  flat out refuses.  doesn’t matter who that one person is, but only one. you’ll hear us giving jase the boot.

i love the way she says “specially cool”

and the way she crosses her feet.

we read 3 books before […]

a couple of notes….

we don’t normally let teagan watch this close to the tv, just for video sake 😉

excuse my messy house.

i can’t stand the way i laugh.

i edited out the part where taryn karate chopped me in the head kungfoo style.

i believe taryn has ants in her pants.

and a chocolate milk mustache.

and bed head.

she’s pretty much a mess.

but the dude, he’s got some mad moves.

i am now going back to being a vegetable on the couch (i had oral surgery this morning – ick).

I have been trying to give my new camera (it is a 5D Mark II for those that asked) a good workout with each of my lenses just to make sure there aren’t any issues with it and that I am 100% happy with it.  I pulled out the macro this week to play a little and thought I would come share a few.  I am not a macro photographer, I say that often, mostly because I cannot stand using a tripod and well, it is windy here.  Two big things working against me, but here are a few I liked….

Almost exactly two years ago, I got a new camera and Ty and I went out exploring, giving the 5D a good breakin.  Not planned, but we did the same thing yesterday.  Can you believe how much he’s grown and changed???

Ty’s not the only thing that has changed….Several weeks ago I bought a new camera, I don’t think I’ve told y’all that.  It’s already gotten a pretty good workout (this session and Teagan’s birthday I haven’t proofed yet).  I’m totally in love with it.  Worth every single penny and I’m super excited about the changes the new video technology will bring to my business.  It will take some […]
