Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be out of reach for awhile. Taryn goes in for her surgery tomorrow morning. I will not be answering emails or voicemail until she gets home later this week and she’s settled in and on her way to recovering. If you need to reach me, please send me an email and I’ll get back in touch with you just as soon as I can, most likely over the weekend. Ty’s school project ice cream winners will also be announced this weekend, so be sure to watch for that!

Hi, I’m Ty. I am doing a project for my math class. I have to take a poll and my mom said I could use her blog. Hello, blog people. It is a data collection project. I have to create a teacher approved survey question, survey a minimum of 50 people and do a tally sheet. I will do a frequency table and graph the results with a title, labels and creative display of the results.

1. Taryn shocked us all just 1 day after breaking her arm when she sat down and wrote out the entire alphabet with ease with her left hand. She’s right handed!

Jase was watching her and told her how “awesome” she is that she can do that. Still on a lot of pain meds, she absolutely fell apart…..”d-d-d-d-d-d-don’t c-c-c-c-c-c-call meeeee awe-some”. Poor girl, she had an emotional few days that required lots of love, hugs and an unreal amount of patience.

So last night, Ty was at church and Teagan and Jase had to run a few errands, it was just Taryn and I at home. She runs up and says “Mommy, you wonna take my picture?” I was shocked and stunned and then I realized she might change her mind quickly so I jumped up and ran for my camera. Turns out she wanted to show me her new trick she’s been practicing….mostly at the dinner table in an effort to make Teagan laugh (it works).

3 guesses who is going to be making a return on the blog tomorrow? yup, in all her little spirited, fabulousness. sporting her new cast AND a new trick! she’s so proud of it, she ASKED me to take her picture. that NEVER EVER EVER EVER happens. i jumped up and down and clapped when she asked me. then she asked me again just to get the reaction again. i obliged. but you’ll just have to wait……and see.

we are about to do some work on our house, new floors, painting and just finally trying to get rid of the cookie cutter feel to our house. yeah, we’ve been here almost 2 years, it is time. we have a few things we are getting rid of and since we’re a little afraid of craigslist after some weirdos replied to an ad for some bedding, we thought we’d post it here. most of the stuff we have now is for local purchase only because of size and weight, but I will be adding much, much more that can be shipped here pretty soon. ((including some photography props, kids clothes, scrapbook / craft supplies, pottery barn bedding and much more!))
