I mentioned the other day that we hired a nanny to come in and help us a few days a week to help me get through busy season.  It’s just for a few weeks.  The biggest perk is Becky’s baby girl.  Love having a baby in the house.  I took a few minutes away from working yesterday and snapped this of little Miss Camryn.  I mean, I certainly can’t be expected to concentrate and totally avoid procrastination when there is a cute, bubbly, chubby cheak baby in my house!

Plus, I figure Beck deserves a little something extra for putting up with so much around here.  EXHIBIT A, B, C & D-Z:

1.  I have time to blog today.  Ask me why?!…..cause today I had HELP.  Smack dab in the middle of busy season.  Real life HELP.  In the form of a maid to come clean my house and the most amazing nanny in the world.  My house is clean.  Every single room ALL AT THE SAME TIME.  And I got actual work done during the day today without dropping the kids in front of elmo or barney.  Real live work in daylight hours.  Uninterrupted.  Isn’t that freaking awesome?  I usually work after Jason walks through the doors at the end of the day.  I feel so much less stress right now.  When I opened my eyes this morning, I knew it […]

Everyone, big and small, is pitching in around here right now.  Today I realized it’s November.  When did that happen?  December is in sight.  Have I mentioned that our family has a new schedule?  A new schedule that is kicking my butt.  A schedule that I didn’t want, but it was necessary.  We had to take Ty off the school bus due to a bully situation, which means we bring him back and forth, 3 kids out of the house 5 days a week.  Taryn has school 3 days a week now so on those days I’m running like crazy.  For awhile I was having to ditch the little kids naps […]

1.  This post has been open on my desktop for 2 days.  I had honest, good intentions of posting on an actual Tuesday….see title above.  Whoops.

2.  This #2 used to be #1……..This will be a quick and dirty ToT.  I am behind on work, very, very, behind.

3.  Orange!  Taryn’s new favorite color.  Talk about suspense overkill.  I had a cute way of announcing it but well, that was months ago and with my schedule being what it is, cute announcements just aren’t in the cards right now.  So, it’s orange.  There it is.  Figured I better come out with it before it changes again.

4.  My FedEx guy this year hates me already.  I can’t decide whether to tell him to […]

I’m on hour 16 right now.  Of work.  No shooting, no proofing, nothing creative.  Therefore it = work.  I wish I could shoot more and spend a lot less time doing the mundane things that being a photographer and business owner also brings to the table (especially during busy season).  16 hours today of sorting, deleting, replying to emails, uploading, downloading, archiving, burning disks, assembling albums, packaging orders, emailing the lab, counting prints, drafting invoices….all the things I must do, to get to do what I want to do…shoot, talk to my clients.  I needed a catch up day, and today was it.  It always make me laugh a little when I hear people say they want to be a […]
