Bob flew in and landed with a bang last night.  The kids were more than thrilled to spot him this morning, which then forced me out of bed way to early.  Thanks a lot Bob!  And you know, given Bob’s history, something tells me that rocket was (not so legally) borrowed….Buzz is gonna be tiiiiicked off!

I swiped this off my facebook feed:

Ty: “Mom, If they sold ‘patience to deal with taryn’ in a bottle, I’d use my entire allowance and stock up on it.”
Sigh…..me too Ty, me too.

I swiped this off my husbands facebook feed:

Playing Wii with Taryn. She is in the lead so there is a crown on her head.
Me: Oh look, it’s princess Taryn.
Taryn: With a sheepish grin and a nod – “they call me queen”
Love her!

Speaking of our girl, “funny football fan fisheye Taryn” always makes me laugh….

sometimes i wish we were boring.

We made not one, but two ER trips this weekend.  First, Teagan tripped over Ty’s feet in a parking lot and went flying in to the side of the van.  It made him twist his neck back pretty hard and he had a welp.  What sent us darting off to the ER though was that he threw up twice afterwards.  So off we went.  They checked him over and the ER doctor recommended we not do a CT scan with everything else going on with Teagan, adding radiation exposure to his list just wasn’t wise.  We were sent home on concussion watch for 24 hours and he’s doing great head injury wise.

Later that night Teagan was throwing a normal […]

Being 5 is awesome.  It’s learning to tie your shoes and loving riding your bike.  It is hopscotch and partially painted finger nails.  The best part of your day is holding hands with your best friend at school and telling secrets and giggling.  It is about growing our your hair and clothing battles with your mom.  It is about swearing you’re going to marry your little brother when you grow up.  It is about freckles and knobby knees and dancing silly.  I love who she is.

in my book of taryn’s funny sleep.  i swear some day i’m going to print a book of these.  i just need to wait until she stops giving me usable material.  like here, here, here and here.  and now here:

found her like this after Ty’s football game tonight.  she finished eating, grabbed her jammies and put them in the bathroom, curled up and she was out.  too tired to continue with our normal evening rituals.  duder wasn’t actually asleep, just snuggling his blankie.  as usual.

1.  Popping in.  Quite literally.  I have about 3 minutes while my children down their snack before they come looking for me.

2.  This is a 70+ hour work week for me.  Just work.  Not counting mom duties.  Or carpool.  Or meal preparation.  Or the hours we spend giving supplements.  Or playing outside with the kids.  Or sleep, glorious, sleep.  Amazingly enough, I’m doing good.  I feel incredible, patient, calm, tons of energy. Just really, really good.  More on WHY over on the finding our new normal blog this weekend!

3.  Freezing this morning.  You know, it was around 50 degrees when we left the house.  But in Texas, that totally constitutes putting on our big coats, finding a hat and […]
