We finally got to pick up our new puppy and bring her home to stay today.  I’m pretty sure this face says it all….

Yes, excitement doesn’t even begin to describe it!  So far (knock on wood) she and Kylie are getting along fabulously.  Kylie is such an amazing dog, we’re hoping some of her pure awesomeness will rub off on her.  A few snapshots from her first afternoon home…

Me = Melt…

I did take some shots of Maggie and Taryn but Taryn wasn’t exactly dressed so I don’t want to post them.  Hopefully my […]

Totally forgot to his publish on this yesterday.  It might have something to do with 3 pending blog posts open on my screen right now…my next blog post will give you a good laugh at my expense!

1.  I’ve been in a funk about sharing and documenting my life here.  I’ve been posting here and here and I need to snap out of it already and get back to using this blog for the intended purpose and show it (and myself and my family) some love.

2.  I joined the gym last week.  I hurt.  My knee that has been bothering me for months hurts.  But it feels SO good to be back in the gym.  I love it already.  […]

we’re expecting….

2011-03-05T20:03:55-06:00March 5th, 2011|My Family|

A sweet baby girl that will join our family in just a few weeks.  We are totally smitten with her and the kids first visit with her went so great.  We have been wanting another dog for a very long time.  We have waited and waited and waited and the timing *finally* feels right.  We have about 3 weeks to figure out a name before she comes home for good and I think we need help.  Teagan’s favorite name of the moment is “IKEA Coconut”….uhhhh, no.  Ideas?

1.  Did I mention I recently switched from Canon to Nikon.  Tis true and I LOVE it.  I’m not so good and change and I’m still fumbling around with the buttons and figuring out where things are, but I truly do love it.

2.  We cut off our home phone in the name of saving money.  We rarely used it and it seemed like every time it rang it was someone trying to sell us something.  Family, friends and clients, please use our cell numbers from here on out!

3.  We canceled our cable service yesterday too.  I honestly don’t think it will change our lives all that much.  I will miss the sweet 24 […]

my weekend: the birth experience get together

2011-02-28T21:03:21-06:00February 28th, 2011|Austin Photographer, Client Work, My Family|

I have been looking forward to this past weekend for months.  My long time online friend Emily Weaver Brown made a trip down from Seattle to visit me.  I was so excited when she decided to come, we’ve known each other online for right around 6 years, from the very beginning of my business (and hers too I think).  Emily is also a charter member for The Birth Experience and we decided to make it an all out get together for our little group.  Rachael Hutchinson and Wendi Schoffstall drove in to meet up with us and make a weekend of it.  Of course quite a few couldn’t travel to see us due to scheduling, being […]

thankful

I want to talk for a bit about our blessings.  I’ve written about her before, but I wanted to share more…..

One of the biggest blessings I have ever received was right here through this blog.  When Teagan got sick, it was a blog reader that contacted me and said she thought she could help.  I was surprised she contacted me, because to be honest, the first few times we interacted months before, I am ashamed to say I wasn’t all that nice to her.  After reading my blog for some time, she’d picked up on a few things and emailed me to offer help with Taryn a few sensory issues, but I denied Taryn had any sensory issues.  (((For […]
