What a long 24 hours it has been.  I started having contractions last night.  Last night they weren’t too bad.  Strong enough to make me stop and they took my breath away.  But they weren’t super regular so I didn’t put much thought in to them.  We were busy prepping our new curriculum for Taryn last night that we started today, so I had a lot of distraction.  We got done pretty late, I took a warm bath, had some chamomile and lavender tea and tried to sleep.  Unsuccessfully.  But I tried.  I think the best sleep I got was between 6 and 6:45 am when I needed to get up for the day.  I woke up with a lego […]

It’s a bit surreal, this one going to a high school homecoming.  And with a curfew of midnight for the first time ever.  Letting go, even in tiny bits and pieces, is really hard.  Time flies….and man has he grown!  It makes my momma heart swoon to see him all dressed up and in clothes that actually fit him instead of a football t-shirt and gym shorts.  Very, very proud of him.  I did offer to chaperone the dance, break out my waddle and move and groove my big old 9 month pregnant belly on the dance floor.  Surprisingly, he declined that generous (ha!) offer.

The shared nursery.  I think if I had to come up with one word to describe it, I’d choose…..intentional.  That might seem like an odd choice for a nursery but it is true.  In the past I’ve put months and months in to designing and creating the perfect nursery for the other kids.  Especially Jude and Taryn.  Walk down memory lane?  Jude’s nursery here.  Taryn’s here.  For each, it was a room of their own and not a shared space.  Beyond that, we didn’t put much thought in to what was in the room outside of aesthetics.  This room was a whole new ball game, both being a shared […]

She was only a willing participant in these because I told her how long her hair looks and she wanted to see it in pictures.  Her hair is finally finally growing!  She’s gotten so tall these last few months, I swear she’s taller than some of the freshman at Ty’s high school.  I just googled it and she’s in the 95% for height at 7 years old.  This means I’m just a few inches over a foot taller than her.  Ouch.  She also has one wiggly tooth in the front on the bottom.  She asks me to see if it is close to falling out every.single.day.  She also reminds me every.single.day […]

Because I can’t resist him.  My funny, sweet, strong, healthy boy.

I decided to take a break from the massive amount of work I’ve been doing and all the baby preparations to take the family to the movies tonight.  It will be a welcome break.  Finding Nemo 3D here we come!

I absolutely love his grey eyes.  And the new, single, freckle on his chin.  He asks me daily if it is “still there”.  I think this photograph draws me in because it’s a rare serious moment for our little comedian.  He’s always on the moving, talking, active, everywhere and trying hard to make everyone around him smile.

A lot of people have asked why we aren’t continuing on with T names for the new baby.  We knew that we wouldn’t.  And honestly, just didn’t feel a lot of pressure to.  Mostly because not all 3 of our kids go by T names anymore.  About a year ago, maybe a little less, Teagan […]
