Mid-pregnancy I fell off the 365 wagon. I hate that, because of all the photographs I take of my family, those mean the most to me. Simple, imperfect, little moments from each day, all year long. He’s getting big y’all. And way too fast. He started smiling and being more social right at 4 weeks. They were few and far between but now at 4 weeks and 5 days, every morning is happy time. And I absolutely love it! He saves most of his smiles for mommy and Taryn, quite the little ladies man, he is. And he’s loosing his hair, right at the same time Duder did. Funny little baby. He already looks so much like Duder, it’s crazy to me. I can’t help but wonder if he’ll follow it up with the natural mohawk too.

My friend Libby of Libby Ann Photography came out to capture Jonah at a tiny 5 days old. We had a tough time scheduling. Time was very limited, Taryn was massively uncooperative and y’all, Libby rocked it with all the challenges that are photographers children and a fussy baby at the end. It’s not easy photographing a photographer’s family and I’m so very thankful for each and every image she captured for us. I think she did a beautiful job.

1. Y’all. I’m tired. Really tired. Four kids is no joke. I feel good, but sooooo tired. Most nights I’m sitting in the big white chair in my living room with heavy eyelids before the kids are even thinking of going to bed. I’m ashamed to admit how many times I’ve missed tucking them in to bed because I’ve already fallen asleep by the time their heads hit their pillows in the last few weeks. Last night, I gave up the fight to stay awake, I grabbed Duder at 8:01 pm and we went to snuggle in my bed knowing full well I wasn’t getting back up to be productive.
