My baby boy rolled over. For the first time! And not only that, but I just so happened to be taking his picture the VERY FIRST TIME HE DID IT! Y’all…..that never happens! I love having a new baby boy on Christmas. I can’t help but think of Mary and how she must have nuzzled and smelled the top of baby Jesus’s head. How she must have reveled at his newness, his tiny fingers and toes. How he must have looked up at her from the breast and smiled, just like my baby boy does. I got ready to take a few photos of Jonah yesterday and before I could even get my camera set for exposure Taryn photo bombed us! She absolutely adores Jonah and I doubt 10 minutes goes by in our house without her seeking him out for a quick kiss or snuggle. She’s always right there to help take care of him, bring him a blanket, watch while I change his diaper, find him a toy. She snuggles with him so much and tells him how much she loves him constantly. That sweet face up there is the image of a little boy who sleeps through the night. He has been for awhile. Once we no longer had to wake him to eat after he returned to his birth weight, he’d sleep in a 4 hour followed by a 6 hour stretch. He’d get up once, maybe twice to eat and it usually hit just as Jase and I were getting ready to go to bed anyway. It was a dream. This is my view at dinner every night. He used to sit in the rock-n-play between Jason and Teagan Jude while we all eat. But now, he fusses until Jase picks him up and puts him right in this spot. Nosy little guy wants to be up at the table to see what’s going on. Can’t say I blame him really. Our dinner table gets a little crazy and uhm….interesting….most nights.

Anyway, this is my dinner view every night. That cute little face looking across at me while I eat my dinner always makes me smile.

7 weeks old. Huh?!? What?!? How did that happen?!? I swear he’s lost his newborn look overnight and has started looking like a baby. My mom sent Teagan Jude and Jonah the cutest snowman shirts. Love my sweet little snowman.
