In an effort to throw ourselves into the holiday mood, we made the trip out to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm today. It’s quite a ways from our house, but it was also a lot of fun. It was both Jason’s and Taryn’s first time cutting down their own tree (Ty and I used to do it that way every year back when it was just the two of us). a gift

We got up this morning and took a few Christmas pictures, it was now or never if we are going to get cards out this year. I’ll give you a little hint and say that Jolly St. Nick was involved and it was way too much fun! And are you ready for this?!?! I got a good 5 minutes of cooperation out of Ty. AND I didn’t even have to pay him!!! I don’t remember the last time that happened, last summer maybe?? Merry Christmas to me! I am lovin this shot…..so much that I made it into a new blog header (click refresh if you don’t see it up there)…..

random thoughts

As a mother of 2, soon to be 3, I have random thoughts constantly running through my mind. Silent multi-tasking. A check list of sorts, who needs what and when, who is going, who is coming and where they are, what will they eat next, oh the list goes on and on in my mind. Maybe that’s why I am always telling Ty "I can’t hear myself think". LOL. ~ Christmas is only a few weeks away and I haven’t done a thing.
