I thought we’d kick this long weekend off right with a little friday funny…..

Little dude got into my basket of props, hats and blankets I use for sessions when I neglected to put it away after work this week. It landed by the front door and never made it past the foyer. Later on, after a few minutes of quiet, I went looking for him. He even managed to get one of the baby hats on his head, he loves hats, but he stretched it out with his big old head. In the second shot he’s pulling on the tassel….resulting in the 3rd shot which totally cracks me up. Funny

Over the course of the next month I will be adding new products and specialty items available to Life in Motion Photography clients. I am really excited about the items I’ve gathered so far and thought I’d come share just this one today. I was over checking out Kim’s blog not too long ago and saw these cute custom wall letters. Thanks Kim for letting me share your idea with my clients! The possibilities are endless, I can edit the colors, fonts, text, etc. I love first names, but using your last name or spelling out “family” or “love” or “brothers”…..there are just so many options!

Tonight, for the last time, I put my baby to sleep in his crib. I know it seems silly, but this makes me so sad. It’s the end of an era for our family. No more cribs, our baby is getting bigger, and today he reached out and fell over the edge, hitting the floor hard. Thankfully, he is fine. I wasn’t in the room when it happened, but only steps away and ran to him when I heard the thud. We both cried. It scared all of us, and we had to make some quick decisions tonight that involve removing the crib and replacing it with a toddler bed. My heart isn’t ready for the crib to be gone […]

1. A few weeks before my Mom’s last visit, Taryn freaked out one night and insisted we take all the photos of her in her room down. She said “all the Taryn’s were staring” at her while she was trying to sleep. After my first session early this morning I stopped by MC’s to take some official newborn photos of their new little guy and beautiful family. At only 4 days old, he was a dream, soooooo sleepy and let me do whatever I wanted. He put his feet like this all on his own, isn’t he fabulous?!?!

I know his momma will be taking tons of beautiful photos of him in the days to come, but I was so happy to capture some of them together (don’t worry, we have some of Jack too!). Check out those wrinkles, I’m a sucker for wrinkled little babies….
