Thank you for a wonderful 2009….

I live it.  My dream.  This year I have been incredibly blessed.  I’ve witnessed love, birth, tears, joy, loss, more hugs than I can count.  I’ve photographed families changing right before my eyes and lens.  I’ve seen families grow in numbers and families prepare for the loss of a loved one.  I’ve photographed families that fight cancer.  I’ve photographed survivors.  It is all the moments of life and each one is valuable.  I am lucky to have this gift in my life…..my amazing clients who let me in…..just for a little while.  Thank you to each and every one of you…..

we made it | austin photographer

through Christmas.  and the sugar rush.  and we did it all relatively healthy.  no surgeries.  lots of breathing treatments.  tons of grandparents.  lots of gifts.  very few meltdowns.  some good food.  way too much hot chocolate.  a getaway for Jase and I (wahoo!!!).  a holiday filled with a whole lot of love.  i’ll be back soon as we try to find some sense of normal again….until then, we’re enjoying my mom being here for just a few more days….

and since I feel bad posting without a pic….one of my three monkeys that I was holding on to until all the gifts were opened….

1.  Last week Ty made smores.  It was a certain someone’s first smore ever.  That someone thoroughly enjoyed it….but I’m not naming any names….

2.  In an effort to squeeze an entire holiday season of events into the week before Christmas, we’ve been busy.  Sunday night we ventured out to Zilker Park to the Trail of Lights.  It was toned down a lot the year due to ACL but we’ve never been before and had nothing to compare it to, so we were thrilled.  The kids had so much fun and I TOTALLY underestimated the pure joy and giggles to be had while spinning under the tree (an austin tradition).  We’re hooked, […]

grouch | austin lifestyle photographer

I think we’ve already established that Taryn is pretty much a grouch in the morning.  Well, last week I posted this on my facebook fan page:

I thought it would be fun to come share the resulting snapshots….

Sometimes I just have to shake my head and laugh at this kid.  It keeps me sane.  Maybe someday she’ll have a daughter just like mine, who will make her smile more than she ever imagined, give her waaay too many sleepless nights and keep her on her toes.  And I’ll get to sit back and laugh an evil laugh (much like my own […]

william | austin newborn photographer

I’ve been meaning to come back and share a few more photos of sweet William.  He gave me a run for my money the day of our session, he pretty much just wanted to hang out with his mommy (who can blame him though, isn’t that what babies are supposed to do?!), but we got him!

If there is one thing that everyone who meets William notices, it is his eyelashes.  By far the most long and beautiful I have ever seen on a 4 day old baby!  They made me swoon….
