I’m reminded that capturing their everyday moments is so valuable to me. What they do slowly becomes who they are. Every night, we eat together as a family at the table. This little one (all 5.2 lbs of her!) decided to come a full month early this afternoon. She is very calm, very alert and very smiley, at even just a few moments old. Pam and Chris, congratulations on your new baby girl, she’s beautiful!

Soooo, while I’m on call for one more birth in March, I now have an opening in April that used to belong to Miss Belle….anyone want to book a last minute birth? 😉

1. Bad news first? Teagan’s ear drum burst Sunday night. Through the tube. He started complaining around bath time when it was time to put his ear plugs in. By the time his bath was over he was a screaming mess. He’s not a complainer (sounds like a good thing but it really is not, it’s hard to tell when something is going wrong when he doesn’t complain). We called our pedi who ok’d some ear drops and we gave him some motrin and put him to bed. He woke up constantly until around midnight when he walked into our room with a smile and a “hey”….uhm, ok?! We had every intention of heading to the Zilker Kite Festival in Austin this weekend and the kids (especially Taryn) were super psyched about it. Unfortunately, Teagan has had a rough weekend, we’ve had to increase his asthma meds and he’s still just not doing very well. He scares me. I feel like I’m constantly worrying, watching, listening, hovering….waiting. For him to be sick. And for him to be better. Teagan’s breathing was pretty good this morning so we decided that instead of facing the crowds at Zilker, we’d stay closer to home just in case he took a turn for the worse. Their birthday session….I can’t believe it. I was honored to attend their birth a year ago, and I’ve photographed all the milestones inbetween. They’ve grown and changed and so much, it’s been so fun to watch!

LOVE the shot of them on their momma’s hip! She’s got her hands full and that’s 50 lbs of little boys she’s packing! H Family, thanks for a great year of memories!
