10

I’m not exactly sure where to start, it has been a crazy time for us.  This might be a little all over the place, but so am I right now so it fits, and its real and us.  I have to start somewhere, so here I go after one of the longest weekends ever….

1.  Let’s start with something, and someone, who makes me smile.  Every now and then I take a photo of one of my children that shows me who they are and I love it so much that I just want to hoard it and keep it all to myself.  I did that with this one for awhile.  She makes me smile so big.

thirteen

Officially a teenager, a little scary for us, exciting for him.  He has an air of confidence around him that shines through the awkward stage he’ll soon leave behind right along with being a little boy.  He’s not little, he’s as tall as I am and will pass me up any day.  I see him figuring out the world, embracing it, getting angry at it and all of it’s injustices and ultimately finding patience for it all because just when he it figures something out, it changes.  His opinions about the world around us and the people in it, they are forming right before us and it’s a joy, and a […]

birthday boys

Cooper and Spencer turned one and I got to hang out with them one morning to help celebrate.  And while their super cute names might be Cooper and Spencer, to me they will always be Gilligan and Skipper (a la Little Monsters Bash last Halloween).  I can’t wait to see what they dress up as this year, but no pressure Joyce!  HA!

We’ll start off this blog post with this end….pretty darn cute aren’t they?

Uh, yes, yes, they are.  I mean look at those arms, those rubber band wrists, the dimples and the rock star hair….

flashback friday

Can it be a flashback if I never shared it to begin with?

The other night, I had just gotten back from taking Ty’s birthday photos and Jase and I were digging through my archives of the kids and comparing how tall Ty has gotten since we moved to Austin.  We got lost in the folders together, smiling, remembering with lots of “no way!  look how little they were!?”.  And we stumbled across this one….

The day this was taken, I didn’t blog it.  Instead I blogged this.  I never shared it because I thought I looked tired.  I WAS tired.  Teagan was 6 weeks old.  Taryn was 2.5 years old and […]

duder

I took off with the little kids this morning with a long list of errands, but none more important to the duder than collecting the post haircut sucker.  Always the highlight of getting his ears lowered…..

He’s been increasingly difficult to photograph lately, so these made my heart smile today.

dynamic | austin sibling photographer

Three days and our dynamic will change.  Ty will be out of school (wahoo!!) on Friday, all three kids will be home this summer, we’ll shuffle them around to different places at different times, new activities, summer camps, t-ball, football (sometimes twice a day!!).  And then at the end of summer, Ty and Taryn will both be in school.  My days of just Taryn and Teagan at home…..I only have 3 of those left.  And then just like that….change.  Tuesdays are my days we don’t have to go anywhere, we can stay home and paint and draw and bake cookies and read and snuggle on the couch in our PJ’s all […]
