Every time I am around this family, it strikes me how much they all love one another. They wear it on their sleeves in a gentle, real, way. just chillaxin

I was pretty excited to see him and his parents this morning. The last time I saw him he was all squishy and new. He just turned one not too long ago. Time flies! As I was downloading this one made me laugh out loud….I love how he looks so happy, chill and relaxed. Just hangin’ out having my picture taken here people! At our house, we call this “chillaxin”.

they warned me

I got fun little text messages from her parents leading up to this session that warned me she is really cute. and a poser. and totally perfect. at 11 days old, I have to agree, she is.

she rocked her session today with lots of sleep, sweet gazes into the camera, a few smiles, a lot of snuggles and and whole lot of sweetness.

and yes, i realize it isn’t very nice to not show you the insane amount of cuteness at the other end of the highchair photo, but trust me, it’ll be worth the wait!!

bittersweet

I spent this morning with sweet baby girl. She’s a baby planner and I’ve photographed Audrey every few months since she was in her momma’s belly. Driving to her last session on my calendar was a bit bittersweet. What will I do without my sweet baby girl fix every few months? From her birth day to her birthday, sleepy newborn days, her first pigtails, the pouty lip, sitting up, cuddling, snoozing, laughing, clapping, crawling, standing and birthday cake, so many photos and so many memories. Thanks for an awesome ride sweet baby girl, photographing your first year was an honor.

The first thing that jumped out at me when I met this family is just how incredibily loved their little guy is. The thoughtful attention, the smiles, the hugs and kisses. While I was intending to focus on Ryker and his mom since she’s usually the one behind the camera most of the time, I love that I caught just the edge of dad in these, blowing kisses and sending love to his little guy….

This is the first of 3 sneak peeks going up tonight, and it’s a little late. Colleen and Brett, I hope it was worth the wait, I had a wonderful time with your adorable family!!

TEAGAN UPDATE: As of this morning, he is 100% better. No signs of the tic and he’s back to his normal self. I’m still in shock and feeling so thankful it was something so easy….because my heart aches knowing how bad it could have been. Sometimes it is after the fact that it sinks in and your heart hurts, which is crazy, because we are thankful, but the fear of what could have been sinks in after the adrenaline is gone and that is where we are now. Shocked, grateful for his angel Kelly who lives thousands of miles away, and just amazed at the fast turnaround with the right diet placed before him. I will come back this week […]
