Something new and different. For me anyway. Not new in the industry by any means. They are the perfect fit for this project, real, open, intentional, and filled with so much love for one another and their family that you can’t help but soak a little bit of it up just being around them. I knew if I ever tried to shoot a movie and a session at the same time, I’d try it on them first just to see if I could do it and do it well. Thankfully, they were game. Tomorrow morning, we will wake you up early with a smile and I know you’ll be your usually grumpy self until you really wake up. You’ll scowl your signature scowl, stretch and then voice a random complaint, likely the last thing you thought of before going to bed or something you dreamed about. My absolute most favorite thing about photographing my baby planners is that I get to see their new tricks and fun milestones every couple of months. Today, at 9 months old, Miss Joan was showing off her crawling, cruising and my personal favorite, waving and saying “hiiiiiiiiiiiii” to her parents, me and random strangers walking by. Babies are the best.
I’m weeks late in getting this sneak peek up, but I still wanted to come post it. Miss E is just way too cute not to! And thank you to her wonderful parents for coming out and bringing breakfast (score!)….I was super popular with the little crowd in my house when I got home toting muffins and fruit. Thank you and I can’t wait to show you more of what we captured!!
i found her like this in the middle of the day awhile back. i’d forgotten i’d even taken these, i’m so glad i did. it was like a quick glimpse into my heart of the baby and toddler she once was, instead of the tall, funny, sassy little girl I now see with my eyes. my girl loves some crazy sleep. gosh i love that about her.
