T vs. Kinder = Knock Out

Kindergarten is tough people.

Not for the weak.

I was trucking along down the aisle when I noticed a few people giving me strange looks.  I stopped and looked in the basket.  Her feet were up and out on either side of the basket, head propped on my purse, sound asleep.  I tucked her feet in and moved on….

Totally out of focus iphone pic taken in the middle of Target today.  Just had to document yet another one of her funny sleep moments (and here and here).  I’m making a book out of them, I decided.

Another opening! Booked

Update:  booked!

The opening on Sunday that I posted about a few days ago is booked (and at one of my all time FAVE locations – yay!), but my session for Saturday (tomorrow) has been rescheduled.  Super last minute opening but if anyone wants a full or a mini session in either the early morning or evening, drop me an email at lstradtner@mac.com and it’s yours!  Likely the last 2010 session opening =)

  • It took him literally years to convince me to let him play.  I was am afraid he’ll get hurt.
  • The first hit made my heart sink and reality set in.  I contained my inner panic well.
  • I would prefer he play the *safety* position just because I like that name better than *tackle*.  Of course I realize it has nothing to do with what he actually does or is….it just makes me feeeeeel better.
  • I call his uniform a costume just to see him get flustered.  Works every time.  I’m mean like […]

the ruiz family

I love every single last thing about this session.  The love they have one another shines and the two little ones are simply the most delightful and respectful kiddos!  This session had one big goal, to fill the blank walls in their new home with loving photos.  I’m pretty sure they are printing big and those bare walls are disappearing one by one….

speaking of belated holidays….

Grandparents day was last weekend and we totally slacked.  I’d love to say that we sent thoughtful cards and picked up the phone and honored the wonderful grandparents that our kids have….but, we didn’t.  We forgot.  But Taryn’s teacher didn’t and the kids drew a photo of their grandparents in class.  When we found this in her folder it was an instant favorite and Jase and I cracked up.  First, note the purple shoes….I’m fairly certain I’ve never seen Grandma or Grandpa in purple shoes.  No, make that absolutely certain.  Especially Grandpa.  Although I would like to.  Grandma is on the right, and I can assure you that she is not a hairy lady at all, and she is much […]
