swiped

I swiped this off my facebook feed:

Ty: “Mom, If they sold ‘patience to deal with taryn’ in a bottle, I’d use my entire allowance and stock up on it.”
Sigh…..me too Ty, me too.

I swiped this off my husbands facebook feed:

Playing Wii with Taryn. She is in the lead so there is a crown on her head.
Me: Oh look, it’s princess Taryn.
Taryn: With a sheepish grin and a nod – “they call me queen”
Love her!

Speaking of our girl, “funny football fan fisheye Taryn” always makes me laugh….

sometimes i wish we were boring.

We made not one, but two ER trips this weekend.  First, Teagan tripped over Ty’s feet in a parking lot and went flying in to the side of the van.  It made him twist his neck back pretty hard and he had a welp.  What sent us darting off to the ER though was that he threw up twice afterwards.  So off we went.  They checked him over and the ER doctor recommended we not do a CT scan with everything else going on with Teagan, adding radiation exposure to his list just wasn’t wise.  We were sent home on concussion watch for 24 hours and he’s doing great head injury wise.

Later that night Teagan was throwing a normal […]

holiday hours

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will only be working evening/night hours for the next week while my kids are home on Thanksgiving break.  I had hoped to be done with all orders and proofing by today, that didn’t happen, but I’m pretty close.  If you need me for anything, please send me an email and I’ll get back to you between 8 pm and 12 am at night.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you.

Marti, Teagan’s OT, shared her knowledge, her experience, her skill, her patience, her love and most of all her prayers for our little guy for months.  She shared her gifts with us and it has blessed us in so many ways.  Teagan made it through some very dark days with her at his side.  She never faltered, she never gave up.  There is nothing we can ever say, or do, that will feel like enough of a thank you for all that she has done for him.  And it wasn’t just her.  Rob, Suzy, Andy, they all made sacrifices to share so much of her with us and we deeply […]

just today

Being 5 is awesome.  It’s learning to tie your shoes and loving riding your bike.  It is hopscotch and partially painted finger nails.  The best part of your day is holding hands with your best friend at school and telling secrets and giggling.  It is about growing our your hair and clothing battles with your mom.  It is about swearing you’re going to marry your little brother when you grow up.  It is about freckles and knobby knees and dancing silly.  I love who she is.

regression

I hate that word.  Hate it.  This past week has been very difficult for Teagan but the last three days have been downright horrible.  He’s regressed in ways that make our hearts panic.  The last two days have been filled with Dr. appoints, phone consults, research and blood work.  I am posting to ask for your prayers for our little guy, clarity for his medical team and positive thoughts for our entire family.

Thankfully I’m pretty sure that even with everything going on here at home, I have busy season under control unless something major happens.  I am a bit behind on email from the last couple of days and will make every effort to catch up on it tonight after […]
