I attended the funeral services for Alex Laynor yesterday in Dallas and between the drive there and back and an emotional day I just didn’t have it in me last night when I got home. Danielle had asked me to photograph just a few key moments of the service and I was happy to do that for her. It aches my heart to know the pain they are all going through. Can you believe this this beautiful girl was once this tiny?! Here too. I surely cannot. Another session share from October. I love so many things about these, the colors, the curls, the discovery, and especially the girlie giggles…I just adore it all.

Yes, October was 3 months ago, but I’m making progress in catching up around here! At least September is done 😉 Anyway, I looked forward to this session for almost an entire year that they were on my books and meeting them and capturing their family did not disappoint. So fun and their little guy with his sweet smiles, expressive eyes and rock star hair stole my heart. Their order came out beautifully, she did a wonderful job in choosing images for her album, canvas and storyboard. 1. Imaging USA. I had a blast hanging out with Erin Cobb, Marla Lamarie, Kelly Kuntz and Amy Shertzer. And Ty got to go hang out with us for the day too, he did good and when we left he said “Mom, your friends are FUN!” He may or may not have called Erin “sassy” 😉 Meeting them was absolutely the highlight of our trip. I’ve “known” Erin since very early on, not too long after I picked up my first dslr actually. So to finally meet after 5 years of online friendship was really awesome.
