The 10 Foot Photo Frame

No exaggeration!  Each image is 20×20 and the entire frame spans almost floor to ceiling.  Yes, when I tell my clients it is better to *go big* I can put my money where my mouth is 😉

This project has been a few years in the making.  We have this odd space in our foyer and it is the very first thing you see when you walk through our front door.  We really struggled with what we wanted to put there.  For a long time an art canvas hung there, it was art from Hawaii, where we got married.  But it just didn’t fill the space right.  I wanted something really *wow* […]

my friend, wendi

It has been months since I’ve actually blogged a session and not just a sneak peek.  I’m so behind in blogging, I will catch up, I will!  I’m starting with this session from February.  When another photog chooses you to capture their family, its such an honor!  I personally love photographing kids when they are used to the camera!  Wendi came in to town for a weekend of fun for The Birth Experience get together I had for a few girls I mentor.  Fun was had by all and I’m so glad Wendi brought her fam with her and hired me to do a session with them.  […]

Announcement: Summer Schedule & Hours

I have been doing my best to wade through the massive amount of email that was waiting for me when I got back from New Orleans.  My email is usually a beast anyway but I really wasn’t prepared for the effects of taking 4 days off.  It was a glorious 4 days off too!  I’d earned it with only one full day off in the last 6 months….yeah, I kind of work a lot!  I think it is one of the aspects of owning your own business AND working from home that catches up with you after awhile.  At least it does me.  There is always work to do, always something […]

kindergarten graduation!

I have so many things to come blog about, updates on all of us, my and Taryn’s girls trip to New Orleans…just tons of updating.  But I know if I don’t post this right now it will get lost in the shuffle.

Our sweet girl graduated from kindergarten this morning.  It was so very bittersweet.  She had a really rough start to her year.  School started during some very dark times for our family as it was just a few months after Teagan’s vaccine reaction.  We were in the midst of dealing with Taryn’s sensory issues and none of us could have anticipated just how hard the changes that school brought would be.  That rough start makes me even more proud […]

brand new

I knew before I left their home this morning that I’d have a really hard time choosing a sneak peek and boy did I.  This little guy gave me a run for my money when it came to sleep but more importantly, he gave us a gallery full of pure sweetness!  I’m pretty sure this is one of the most diverse gallery of newborn expressions I’ve had in quite some time.  He expertly pulled off the scowl, the smile, the yawn, the smirk, the side eye, the look me straight in the eye AND the soulful gaze.  So, so very sweet!  Congrats again on your sweet baby boy C & A!!

I mean seriously…

Could these children be any more beautiful?!

Wow, were they good to me this morning.  It was one of those sessions where I sat in my car and chimped through my card because I just couldn’t wait until I got home to go through them.  Amanda and Jamie, it was so great to see you guys again!
