This family is one of my favorite sessions each fall. I love catching up with them and hearing whats new in the world of Carmen, Mathilde and their parents. I love the energy that Carmen brings, I can hear it and feel it through the images, I love that. If you can imagine a dog rolling it’s eyes at me and my camera, go for it, you’ll see Mathilde! Ha! We’re buds, even if she won’t admit it!
Miss Anna is 4 years old but her family is about to be a family of 4. I can’t wait to meet their sweet new baby boy here in just a few weeks. Have I mentioned lately that downtown Austin at sunrise is one of my favorite places to be?! Getting up while it’s dark stinks but it is always so SO so worth it!

Last summer I ran a special for discounted session fees for in home family lifestyle sessions. I am SO glad that I did! I love in home sessions and getting to see people relaxed in the place they live and love. This session was no different. Charlie and Izzy are twins and while I have photographed them before, never at home and it was so fun to just go and hang out with this family for awhile. I haven’t been picking up my good camera very much at home lately. Instagram and the ease of it has taken over in our busy lives. I miss my 365 project and all the beautiful moments my big camera hasn’t captured. Time if flying and I’ll only regret the moments I don’t capture. I’ve tried to do better the last few days. I think I need a photo project to motivate me. One photo per hour at the top of the hour maybe? To capture our typical busy, crazy, chaotic days? I think that’s what I need. My sweet, lego loving, boy. Right now, he loves “ice cold water”, being up in Jonah’s mug constantly, talking, pestering his sister, snuggles with mommy, talking, all things ninja, spontaneous dance breaks, talking, using his binoculars to look for dragons in the sky, math and reading, volcanoes. I look at him and think “how is he 5?!” He steals my heart daily.
