mmmmm, sand | orange beach alabama photographer

orange_beach_alabama_family_photographerRhonda, one of my mom’s Sea Sisters, booked a family session while we were in Alabama in August.  It was so fun capturing her family.  She absolutely adores her family and especially her grandchildren.  And I’m not going to name any names, but *someone* ate their weight in sand.  😉  And I have to say, some of my faves from this session are from after we were “done”, the boys played.

hard to say goodbye | austin family photography

_austin_family_photography

I’ve been blessed to photograph this sweet family several times in the last couple of years and it’s always an adventure.  When they found out they were moving, we snuck in a quick session just before they were due to leave town.  In fact, I think they left the very next day!  It was so hard to say goodbye.  Emily is one of the sweetest, down to earth, real, women you’ll meet.  She instantly felt like a friend.  I’m more than a little sad they moved before #4 arrived!  I guess that’s a good thing about living in Austin, everyone loves it here so much, it’s rare for people to leave!  I […]

the sea sisters | orange beach alabama photographer

I never ever recommend my clients dress the same.  I’m just not a matchy matchy photographer.  But….there are always exceptions and I couldn’t love these more!  Right before my mom lost Larry, the Lord brought some amazing neighbors and women in to her life.  He knew she’d need love, support, friendship and man, did He get it right!  These ladies are a blast!  They call themselves the “Sea Sisters” and they get together and do everything from drinking wine on the beach to craft days to just hang out and support one another.  I’m so thankful she has each and every one of them!  And I got to meet them and hang […]

big changes big laughter | austin family photographer

austin_family_photographer

There are so many exciting changes happening in this family, I’m so happy they took a quick pause to stop and capture it.  Lots (and lots) of laughter on this evening!A move coming, a new baby on the way.  And wow, 3 boys plus a beautiful daughter-in-law, I felt like I was looking in to my future.  And as hard as it is to see my kids grow up, hanging out with this family makes me realize that it’s ok to look forward to seeing what awesome humans they’ll turn out to be.

First, I LOVE their grandparent names!  The best!  I got to photograph both sets of grandparents with this little one this year and it was so fun to include them and capture their special relationship.  AND AND AND…..she’s going to be a big sister!  I’m so excited for them and cannot wait to capture a full year of memories with a new little one joining the family!
