Lyndsay Stradtner and I am a natural light photographer with 14 years experience. While home is Austin, Texas, my family and I are currently traveling the US in an RV full time. Yes, we sold our 2,400 square foot home for a 400 square foot RV and couldn’t be happier about it! While our initial goal was to travel full time for one year, that quickly turned in to (at least) 3 years. I am married to a really great guy named Jason. With 5 kids (Ty, Taryn, Jude, Jonah and Zachary) and 2 dogs (Maggie and Pepper), our lives are filled with laughter and chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! still dealing with the stink.

in the last 9 days we’ve…..

learned more than we ever wanted to know about what comes out of a skunk’s ass. no kidding. i can tell you how to get rid of a skunk, how to deter them from your property (it involves fox urine…..ick and motion lights), how to bathe your animal after an attack, how to clean your home and everything in it to rid the horrible, awful smell.

we’ve scrubbed, scoured, brushed, cleaned, disinfected, wiped every single surface, bleached every single toy, washed and sanitized every single dish, spoon, fork….you name it.

before I’m back.

I won’t be answering emails, inquiries or posting on the blog this week. This has been a complete nightmare.

I never imagined it would turn in to this. Our house is disgusting right now. We had to call in some professionals for cleaning up after “disasters” to help get the skunk smell out. This included cleaning our air conditioning system, cleaning all the duct work and we had to vacate the house for 5 hours yesterday for an air treatment. It’s 2:09 am.

Ask me what we have been doing for the last 5 hours.

We have been trying to get the smell of SKUNK out of our house. Yes, skunk.

Nasty.

Nasty can’t even begin to describe it. For a germ-o-phobe like me, this is a complete nightmare. You know that smell when you’re driving in your car and you know a skunk was nearby. That is nothing compared to what we have. Nothing. It’s 10 million times worse. It smells like horribly burnt garlic with a side of burnt rubber.
