About Lyndsay Stradtner

Lyndsay Stradtner and I am a natural light photographer with 14 years experience. While home is Austin, Texas, my family and I are currently traveling the US in an RV full time. Yes, we sold our 2,400 square foot home for a 400 square foot RV and couldn’t be happier about it! While our initial goal was to travel full time for one year, that quickly turned in to (at least) 3 years. I am married to a really great guy named Jason. With 5 kids (Ty, Taryn, Jude, Jonah and Zachary) and 2 dogs (Maggie and Pepper), our lives are filled with laughter and chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! hurricanes, not my favorite subject. especially when i think about everything katrina took from us. all the heart ache and tears she caused us. precious time she took away from us enjoying taryn as a baby. and photographs. she stole so many photographs.

that is one of the driving forces behind what i do. why i love photography. why i dove in to learning, capturing. my instant and immediate need after the storm to have printed memories again. they can’t be replaced, but many of them are etched in my mind. i so wish we would have taken many of them with us, instead of just some. but i can’t change that now.

…any day now he’s going to lean forward and crawl after me when I walk out of the room. Until then, he leans forward, gets on his knees and dives into a big belly flop with drooly smile. Makes me giggle every time. My days of a captive subject are limited….

Yesterday our family had a blast, we got to go into downtown Austin and be photographed by the amazing Michele Anderson of PinkleToes Photography. Looking at her sneak peek this morning put me in tears…I love them all….and I am even in them, so rare. What a wonderful gift, I couldn’t be more thrilled!

I am just as excited that I get to photograph the impending birth of Michele’s 3rd child here pretty soon, I can’t wait!!!!! Although, I too, will admit to being nervous 😉
