About Lyndsay Stradtner

Lyndsay Stradtner and I am a natural light photographer with 14 years experience. While home is Austin, Texas, my family and I are currently traveling the US in an RV full time. Yes, we sold our 2,400 square foot home for a 400 square foot RV and couldn’t be happier about it! While our initial goal was to travel full time for one year, that quickly turned in to (at least) 3 years. I am married to a really great guy named Jason. With 5 kids (Ty, Taryn, Jude, Jonah and Zachary) and 2 dogs (Maggie and Pepper), our lives are filled with laughter and chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m going to do something tonight I’ve never done before. Usually sweet, thoughtful, emotion filled notes from my clients are kept private. Every now and then I’ll share one with my husband, but that is usually the extent of it. Some are hand written, some are sent via email, some make me cry, some get filed into a happy folder that I go back and read often when I’m feeling tired or burned out, some get printed out and hung above my desk. Excited doesn’t even begin to describe the vibe in the air at our house tonight. We’ve waited and waited and waited some more……and today was finally the big day. Taryn has talked about it every.single.day for months and months. Teagan’s first movie theater experience was a success! We laughed, we cheered, we cried, Teagan danced. Totally worth the wait.

When asked what he wanted to do today to honor him on Father’s Day, he answered that he wanted to see the kids smile. Not that he wanted a day to himself, or for me to take the kids off for the day, or to go do something specifically for him. He knew the new carousel at the mall would do the trick to get the kids smiling, so off we went, knowing full well the mall is not his favorite place. And smile they did, Taryn from ear to ear and we all got a good laugh at Teagan yelling “giddy up ELVIS”, the name of his horse. He smiled right along with him and I loved every moment […]
