About Lyndsay Stradtner

Lyndsay Stradtner and I am a natural light photographer with 14 years experience. While home is Austin, Texas, my family and I are currently traveling the US in an RV full time. Yes, we sold our 2,400 square foot home for a 400 square foot RV and couldn’t be happier about it! While our initial goal was to travel full time for one year, that quickly turned in to (at least) 3 years. I am married to a really great guy named Jason. With 5 kids (Ty, Taryn, Jude, Jonah and Zachary) and 2 dogs (Maggie and Pepper), our lives are filled with laughter and chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Be sure to check us out on Etsy, Instagram and YouTube.

Another entry for her book…

I’ve been glued to my computer just about day and night in an effort to proof my marathon of 8 sessions in seven days a week or so ago.  Sunday afternoon, while sitting at my desk, I heard Taryn stomp in my office grumbling something about “Super Duders are too loud….”.  A few minutes later I turned around in my chair and saw this.  I ran and got my camera.  Not sure what the rush was, she stayed like that for several hours until she smelled dinner.  My girl loves her some good sleep.

Sweet Savannah stole my heart this morning.  She’s a girl who knows what she likes.  And do you know what I like?  Rummaging through her very talented interior designer mom’s stuff.  Yes, it was like photographer heaven between the amazing props and furniture, the sweet baby girl and the gorgeous family she belongs to.  Congratulations Ashley & Eric on your beautiful new daughter!

this week.

I put my camera down for awhile this week.  Our days were filled with illness, healing, pain, comfort, cranky kids, trips to the park, puppies that chew on ev.ery.thing, carpool and too many hours spent in the kitchen.  I received bad news that arrived as if it were rather good news, because it could have, and possibly should have, been much worse.  I felt horribly sad and vindicated in one surprising moment.  I hugged my children tighter.  I made big changes and faced the fact that my choices change not only who I am, but who they are.  I’ve had to dig deep within myself this week.  It was not easy, but I have succeeded.  And it has been good.
