I got to catch up with two of my old baby planner graduates tonight. “Catch” being the keyword here! HA! These two are now 18 months old and they are fast! And busy! And usually going opposite directions! I can’t believe how much they have grown and changed, I was so happy to see them again. I got big hugs, a few kisses and some high fives too…sweet (and busy) boys!
I was unloading the van after my session this morning and I realized how telling this scene was. I live in my van this time of year. I do a lot of driving no matter where I am shooting because we live so far out. I don’t mind it much, time in the car alone is just that, alone time. When you’re the mother of 3 you’ll take it wherever you can get it: a minute alone in the bathroom, even walking down the hallway alone or any time in the car when sesame street isn’t blaring from the backseat and children are begging for a snack. This slideshow makes me cry every single time I watch it. The beautiful music sets me right over the crying threshold. You see, the stunning voice, is none other than the woman in labor. Her child entering the world to the sound of her voice. She is incredibly talented (and is working on a lullaby CD, I personally can’t wait!). This birth was filled with happy, quiet, curious, wonderful, beautiful moments….

I have quite literally been looking forward to this session for a year. This family booked this fall, last fall and I literally could.not.wait because in every single photo I’ve seen of their cute little guy over the last year he was smiling. He is one happy little guy. He did not disappoint for our date this morning!
