Joan’s first birthday session….now this is how I love to be greeted at the front door! HA! Actually, if one thing is clear in these photos it is that Joan adores Jane. She absolutely loves her. In fact, when I am photographing Joan we have to make a effort to keep Jane occupied in the other room because me and my camera just can’t compete! I love the last set, so them!

To many of my clients and those who inquire for a session she’s known as “the baby on the green chair” but she does actually have a name! 😉 And the sweetest little personality in the entire world. I loved seeing how much she’d grown and changed in just 6 short months. Catching up with her parents is just like meeting an old friend you haven’t seen in ages, familiar and warm and welcoming. I adore this family and cannot wait to see them again! Belle is about to be one here pretty soon, I can’t believe it!!!
I don’t always get the extra time to blog mini sessions, but I had to come and post these. I loved everything about this Christmas mini, the family, the outfits, the location, the light that evening…just…everything. It was easy and fun and everything just clicked about it. I love it when that happens….

Yes, October was 3 months ago, but I’m making progress in catching up around here! At least September is done 😉 Anyway, I looked forward to this session for almost an entire year that they were on my books and meeting them and capturing their family did not disappoint. So fun and their little guy with his sweet smiles, expressive eyes and rock star hair stole my heart. Their order came out beautifully, she did a wonderful job in choosing images for her album, canvas and storyboard.
