My old website was super outdated, embarrassingly so. Most of the photos on my old site were between 2 and 6 years old. I considered just keeping my blog and ditching the website, but I wanted a place for my clients to always see my best foot forward, to view my work and to keep myself comfortable with being able to share family snapshots and simple little stories of our every day life here on my blog and not worry about those things being the all important first impression for a client. I have been blessed with the most amazing clients that make it so incredibly easy for me to love my job. This sweet family is no exception, they make me smile every single time I see them. Our time together is always relaxed, easy, honest and real. She’s a daddy’s girl, silly, sweet, happy. Their client survey requested two things, shots showing how sweet she is and a photo capturing her walking, preferably of the 3 of them walking away. Or maybe not away, just into the 2nd year that is sure to be filled with tons of laughter and love. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

I had SO much fun with this family this morning. I’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with a lot of new siblings and I cant easily say this big sister is *beyond* thrilled her new baby sister has arrived. She was full of hugs and kisses and sweet compliments including “I love you and your neck is pretty!” HA! Yes, she’s a bit enamored. I love my birthday in a huge way. I love that it falls over a holiday weekend, I love that it is smack dab in the middle of summer, I love that my mom’s birthday is just two days later. It always felt so special to have my birthday around July 4th, the family, the celebrations, so fun. To help celebrate my birthday I thought it would be fun to offer up a few specials! a mere 365 days makes….

This first birthday photo was in the works pretty much since the moment the first photo was snapped. In fact, when I was ready (ok, really, my husband….) to get rid of the highchair, Kelsey took it off our hands and stored it just for today. Now that’s dedication to a photo shoot! HA! I love it! Georgia belongs to the sweetest family. Her big brother is the easiest toddler I’ve ever photographed, so gentle and sweet. Even their dog is awesome, by far the most chill dog I’ve ever photographed. Their album is hands down one of my favorites for the year, so pretty!
