We had a few things working against us tonight, like the fact that when we showed up to the location is was *dark* thanks to some big black clouds.  And very windy.  And little was passed out in the car, exhausted.  Oh, and I just so happened to bust it mid session, ouch!  Thankfully, my clients rock and everyone over 3 refrained from laughing 😉  Despite our challenges, everything came together.  We just went with it, had fun and as it turns out, this is one of those sessions I couldn’t wait to fly home and download.  I love love love so many of them already!  This is the 3rd year […]

One thing I love about working so much this fall is now having more room so that I get to meet new families too!  This one had me smiling a lot during our time on South Congress.  This momma requested a close up image of Carmen, looking right in to her soul, images of her REAL laugh, funny faces and Mathilde the dog not panting.  Mathilde is one of the best behaved dogs I’ve ever photographed, especially for being downtown on the busy streets.  […]

We were blessed with beautiful weather and the light was gorgeous tonight.  Son kissed and sun kissed.  The last time I photographed this sweet family, this little guy was tiny and tucked away, as Katie was just newly pregnant.  A lot has changed in two years!  Our main goal tonight was to get this photographer momma in the photo with her kids.  And we did just that!

I don’t think I can pick a favorite shot from the session.  I loved the colors, the backdrop and the sweet snuggling kiddos.

There are so many things I love about this birth experience….

I loved that as the family reminisced about their first birth experience, I could remember right along with them since I was there to capture it.  Forming bonds with families is so amazing.

I loved big sister hiding behind the curtains and her daddy chasing her out.

I loved big sister cuddling with momma and her baby belly.

I loved mom’s big tear at the moment of birth.

I loved Dr. Seeker’s smiles and genuine love for what he does.
