One of my favorites from my session tonight! These two braved the cold and the wind, or as Ty called our weather today, “The Alaskan Summer”. Ha!

I got so wrapped up in our wedding anniversary yesterday that I totally forgot to put up this sneak peek. Oops! Here’s a super sized peek Amy and Cory, so fun to see you guys, as always!!

This family just means the world to me. I first met Heather when I was interviewing midwives to help deliver Jonah. I met her and instantly felt at ease, which was exactly what I wanted for my birth space. We have a lot in common and we clicked right away. I feel so blessed to have had her at Jonah’s birth and supporting me throughout my pregnancy and beyond. I know that I have a friend in her forever. That’s why I was beyond elated when she shared she was pregnant with Riley. It was an honor to photograph her birth and then a few days later, her official newborn session….

Barrett is a wonderful reader and she was captivated. I adore this shot, the depth created by Barrett’s shadow behind him and the bushes in front of them, elbow patches on a corduroy jacket (swoon!), one of my favorite books and a sly little smile by sweet Ms. Harper.

I’ve been photographing this family since 2009 and while I’ve watched them grow and love and change, the biggest thing that jump out at me for 2014, is what an ahhh-mazing big brother Steven is. So very patient, so very kind, so very, very loving. Sadie doesn’t know it yet, but she’s extremely blessed by him. So fun to watch and capture.

Oh miss Jane, it’s so fun and such an honor to capture you on your birthday each year. It feels like yesterday that we first met, you were two! Time flies. Happy birthday beautiful girl.
ps – some day I’m going to do a blog post dedicated to her dad and his amazing poses, I have lots through the years and they *need* to be showcased 😉
