Just a quick note to let everyone know that Life in Motion will be closed until August 10th. I will have limited access to email but will do my best to reply within the same day (thank you iphone!). 1. Teagan weaned. All on his own. Cold turkey. A week ago Friday. I’m sad. And proud. I can look at him right now and say, I grew that. Look what I did. And I’m proud of that. But I miss it. Horribly. Probably doesn’t help that since he went cold turkey that I’m in a lot of pain. Thanks little dude. If y’all hear about a cow exploding just north of Austin, no worries, it’s just me. I met MC not long after moving to Austin. We quickly became friends and I began to mentor her and help her with her photography journey. And by mentor, I mean hang out and goof off with our cameras. But there hasn’t been very much mentoring going on. Life is busy, especially at their house. Not long after this session, MC and Jon announced they were expecting baby #2, thrilling news! Just a few short weeks later Jon was diagnosed with cancer. They are a strong and faithful family and after a few days of shock and tears, came out swingin ready to fight. As I finish up their order I wanted to come back and share a few more of Miss Inara’s first birthday session. You can see her sneak peek here. I’m going to start off this post with my favorite of the day….

She’s grown so much since I saw her last. I just can’t get over how much babies change that first year, it’s crazy! Some of my most favorite shots ever are the ones from her 6 month session loving on her momma. That is one thing that has not changed.
