He’s super excited about our big news!
Lowdown:
Due February-ish.
Baby is currently healthy and strong.
We will find out if it’s a boy or a girl as soon as we are in the same state again.
I have been incredibly sick this time.
We are planning another homebirth with our favorite midwife, Heather Hilton.
We will be hiring a birth photographer.
The kids are THRILLED.
So are we!
5 years ago I had an idea for a frame in our foyer. I wanted something that said “a photographer lives here” because at that time we had very few photos hung up in our home. I was horrible about printing (shame, I know). Thankfully, that has changed and our home is now filled with photos that make me smile. The frame desperately needed an update to add Jonah though. Last night we went to Good Friday Service at the Frank Erwin Center. Over 16,000 believers there to celebrate the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. It was beautiful and inspiring and I absolutely loved seeing my children worship with such a big crowd. Taryn and Jude sang. One of them (duder) sang until he fell asleep on Jason’s shoulder. And it turns out that Jonah is a throw your arms up in the air, praise Jesus, hallelujah, kind of worshipper! Who knew?! I loved it!

Good Morning Sunshine.
Taryn has a new dental appliance that is helping her with sleep apnea. It’s working. She’s sleeping more than ever. She would normally rise as early at 4:45 or 5 am. Sleep disordered breathing is no fun and we are so thankful it’s working. This is her “Good Morning Sunshine” face when she sleeps in until 9:45 am. 9:45 am yall!! I can’t believe how much it has improved her sleep, mood and hormone regulation. The fact that it’s straightening her teeth = total bonus!
Somehow Texas skipped winter and we went straight to summer. This kid is not complaining. With my foot injury, he’s only getting outside time once Daddy gets home from work. The second Jason walks in the door, Jonah is ready to head out!
