road trip

after the worst road trip in the history of stradtner road trips last summer, we swore off going anywhere with our kids for a long time.  which is saying a lot, because we love to travel.  we used to just take off exploring all the time when it was just me, jase and ty. this time, we got smart, we fed the beasts, bathed them and put them in their jammies before heading out.  less complaining, less potty stops and easier on us.  we both cracked up when this popped up on our GPS…

I’ve been getting headaches for a few weeks.  They have progressively gotten worse and worse and it was to the point where I could barely see my computer screen to edit without really squinting.  My rx always changes with each pregnancy and each baby, so I just figured my eyes were finding a new normal now that my hormones are leveling out from having Teagan last year.  And since Taryn is off having fun with Lily on this Friday ((aka fun friend friday is what they call it)), I made an appointment for this morning.  Teagan and I head off, and they give me the option to either have a retinal scan or be dilated.  The cost for the scan […]

this is the one i was really afraid i wouldn’t make it in time.  i’m always a bit nervous when i’m on call for a birth that i won’t make it.  i try to be ready to go on a moments notice.  but this one, i was really nervous.  noelle walked around for weeks at 4+ cm dialated.  i jumped every time my phone rang.  i’m so thankful that it worked out i got to be there.  a-maz-ing birth experience.  i cried when she was born.  and when i was proofing.  and when i finished the slideshow.  yeah, i’m a sap, but it really was just that amazing.  this birth experience was fast.  and intense.  and filled with emotion.  and […]
