I was inspired recently by this shot that my friend Anne Marie took of Calla (check it out and see how massively cute she’s gotten!). She used wrapping paper, isn’t that cool? I decided to pull some out of my stash this morning and give it a whirl with Taryn…
I like it. And it’s cheap. And I can reuse it. Guess I can say I’m going green now huh? π Here was my setup if anyone is interested in that sort of thing…although I’m wondering if my clients will think I’m totally off my rocker when I show up and start gift wrapping their front door before their session! LOL!
Wow, what a neat photo backdrop. I would have never thought such! It makes for a great photo shoot. And of course, Little T had to put her “pink” stool in there somewhere. Thanks for showing your photo setup, it makes the newbies learn from the pros! π
Thanks for showing your setup. It is always helpful for us “non thinking out of the box” type folks.
What a cool idea! Thanks for sharing.
Great job! I’m totally obsessed with the wrapping paper idea now. You can get a million cool backdrops for super cheap.
You rock! What a fabulous idea!! I can’t wait to try it!!!!
I can only imagine the conversation w/ Taryn about putting that on the front door! Too cute!
I am going to try that! Great Idea!!!!
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing…I will now be stalking Target’s gift wrap aisle! π
LOVE those pictures!!! Would you mind sharing where you found that gorgeous wrapping paper? I’ve tried this same idea but when I tried to stock up on more ‘backgrounds’, I found it hard to find something I really like.
Any info would be appreciated!!
LOVE this idea! Just like everyone else has said, what inspiration for those of us who are still learning! Thanks for being so willing to share!!
GREAT idea! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. My sister did it at Xmas time!! Anway… LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of Taryn running with the flowers. Print it BIG!
What a wonderful idea! i’m going to try it as soon as possible.
Can you tell what kind of lights did you use on this one? Reflectors, flashes?
Riika – no lights, flash or reflectors, just natural light π
Beatrice – walmart of all places π I want to hit The Container Store soon though, the always have cool papers!
I love the background! Never would have guessed it was wrapping paper!
I will have to try this soon. Thanks for sharing the idea!
