I’m still here…

and livin large! Thanks for all the comments =)

No baby yet, but we’re getting closer and making progress. My OB is out of town and the Nurse Practitioner told me to “be ready” after she checked me this week. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to see if the baby has flipped over yet….please say a prayer that he has….I have a fear of c-sections but we’ll do whatever it takes to get our little man here as healthy as possible.

I think this qualifies as a Quote of the Day: Jason has taught Taryn to run up to the belly, point at it and say “HEAD DOWN BOY, HEAD DOWN“. It was seriously cute the first 25 times are so!

I think we’re all a little anxious knowing it’s getting so close. I’m uncomfortable and crabby. I’m trying to remind myself to enjoy these last few days because this very well may be the last time I’m ever pregnant. That’s the emotional side, the physical side just wants to yell “GET OUT!”…..yeah, it’s safe to say I feel done. I’ve been trying to spend as much time as I can with Taryn during the day knowing our “girl time” is about to be infiltrated by a boy 😉 We usually just have “our boys” as we lovingly call them on evenings and weekends because of school and work. T and I went shopping and out to lunch today and had such a good time, but man was I whooped when we got home.

Oh, and my cute (and rather brilliant if I do say so myself) husband says he’s just about done with my computer. He was able to get some of the info off the hard drive and then had to totally wipe everything out. Basically a new computer. The genius bar at Apple couldn’t fix, but he did it so I guess that makes him brilliant and a genius?? It’ll take me forever to get everything set up to be the way it was….but if I can at least get to the point where I can upload photos and proof before the baby makes his appearance, I’ll be happy. Wish us luck!

clone version 2

Thank you all SO MUCH for all your wonderful comments for Calla’s birth slideshow!  I can’t even begin to tell you how great it makes me feel that they moved you and to hear the images made you feel like you were there, were moved to tears, or brought you back to your own birth experience, is the best compliment EVER!  Thank you!!!!!

And I’ve gotta give props to Anne Marie….I’m sure it’s not easy to allow yourself to be photographed while you are in pain and in such a vulnerable state.  But then to let all of us in blog world share in their experience, that rocks!  Jase and I are still undecided if we will have the birth of our son photographed.  I think Jase is all for it if it means he doesn’t have to learn how to use the 5D and endure the pressure!

And this deserves the title of "Quote of the Day"….

Ty and I were waiting on the school bus out front the other morning talking about Jason’s photography abilities and how challenging the lighting was for Calla’s birth (I will be delivering at the same hospital).  I told Ty I wasn’t sure if Dad could do it or not.  He raised his hand, "UHM HELLO!?!?"  To which I replied "Ty, I’m sure you’d do great during labor but delivery would probably traumatize you."

Here comes the zinger….

"Mom, with you and Dad as parents, I’m already traumatized."

Nice.

And just when I was feeling pretty good about my motherly abilities.  Humph.  Little pre-teen turd.

I digress…

Of course seeing Calla’s birth kicked my baby fever into high gear, I’m so ready for our little guy to get here (well, not really ready, but I can’t wait!).  Especially after yesterday, we had a "family bonding" 3D/4D ultrasound.  It was so cool to see our little guy, and it’s official, I’m carrying another clone for Jase.  I don’t have a scanner, but here is a pic of a pic…..

At one point during the ultrasound he was opening his eyes and closing them, as if he was looking right at us and moving his lips.  As if he had something he just couldn’t wait to tell us.  Hmmmm, and we thought this might be our quiet child.  Guess not!  LOL!!

Can I have two "Quotes of the Day"?  While watching the ultrasound DVD…

Little T:  "Dat kinda creepy momma, our baby orange".

Gotta love it, makes you wonder what goes through her little fabulous mind.

It’s a sign.

So we’re sitting at dinner tonight, eating lasagna.  Taryn is in her booster seat and she’s about done eating (which means it’s almost time to start playing with her food).  I see her hand rustling under the table, so I ask her, "Taryn, what do you have under the table?"….assuming it’s lasagna.

Looks me right in the eye and says "A wedgie".

No kidding!  Having a 2 year old with the word "wedgie" in her vocabulary is a sign that she has a 10 year old brother.  Who, by the way, almost spit milk through his nose laughing.

Quote of the Day

This morning while Little T and I were brushing our teeth…..

Taryn:  While eyeballing my belly……"Our baby get bigger and bigger every day Momma"
Me:  "Yup T, you’re right, my belly is getting bigger."
Taryn:  "It could POP Momma."
Me:  Laughing outloud….."do you think so?!"
Taryn:  "Dat not funny Momma, it could."

LOL….she’s not so good for my ego 😉

And Ty must have baby names on the brain because last weekend we had the TV set to the seasonal music channel.  As he was walking by he says…..

"Mom, who would name their baby STEAMROLLER?!?"
Confused I said "what?"
Someone named their kid "Mannheim Steamroller"….why would you do that to a kid?!

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Once I explained it to him he didn’t think it was so funny, especially when I continued to laugh at him!

Quote Of The Day

"I can’t win.  I talk about food and you either glare at me and gag, or send me to the store to buy you something."

~ Jason ~

(who is struggling while dealing with the never ending, never know what you’re gonna get, morning sickness or food craving, pregnant wife)

=)

On another note, my cute husband picked up the camera last weekend!  Me and Little T testing out our new recliner….a new favorite place for this pregnant lady to sleep.   Works pretty good for tuckered out toddlers too…
