Follow along as we venture to Gettysburg National Military Park. It wasn’t our most favorite National Park, the rangers were cranky, the movie and museum were expensive and it was raining….but we learned a lot! And Jude provides the voice over reciting The Gettysburg Address, so it was a roadschool win! Season 2, Episode 20
My old website was super outdated, embarrassingly so. Most of the photos on my old site were between 2 and 6 years old. I considered just keeping my blog and ditching the website, but I wanted a place for my clients to always see my best foot forward, to view my work and to keep myself comfortable with being able to share family snapshots and simple little stories of our every day life here on my blog and not worry about those things being the all important first impression for a client. Having a dedicated website gives me peace in knowing I can post whatever I want over here. I bought a new one in January and started to build it. And then I got busy and I’d work on it maybe 15-20 minutes a week. It is finally, FINALLY, done and I am so excited to share it with you! It is a much better, more current, representation of my work, my style, my clients, me. My hope is that it is simple, easy to use and let’s my work speak for itself. I still have a few photos to move around, a few things to tweak, but in the meantime, I hope you like it as much as I do!
I always love catching up with this sweet baby girl (her very appropriate nickname). Loved this session….
This is as close as we got to our “pouty lip” series…..
Please don’t send me hate mail and tell me it is illegal to pick a bluebonnet. It really isn’t. Just a Texas myth. It’s not nice, sure, but if you’ve ever taken a photo in the bluebonnets, then you’ve sat on one and probably killed it. Personally, I’d rather be discovered by a sweet baby girl than sat on. Just sayin’….
And one of my very, most favorite, parts of photographing babies…..the sleepy ending when you know it’s time to wrap things up…..
I think a lot of photographers put their cameras away once the kiddos get tired. Truly a shame if you ask me, I always wait in anticipation to see what comes my way in these last few moments….
It is such an honor when another photographer hires me to photograph their family. Elizabeth contacted me because she wanted some photos of her and her husband…..
These two met in preschool. How crazy cool is that?! I would love to have known my husband for almost my entire life. They are such a nice couple with a fun, sweet love that just shines through. They also happen to be right on the verge of a very grand adventure. They are picking up and moving to Maine after having lived in Texas their entire lives. And get this…..they have never even been to Maine….oh man, what a great time they are going to have, exploring a new place, young and in love.
Elizabeth & Eric, I wish you all the best with your big move! Thank you for entrusting me to capture you and your love for one another tonight, it was an honor.
I just finished up this cute family’s gallery and wanted to come share a few….love this one!!
I think this just might be my new favorite daddy / son shot…
And a funny little outtake, I call this one “love hurts” LOL
sigh….love this one too….
Thanks for a great session J Family! I hope you love your photos!!
This beautiful family welcomed their second daughter into the world and it was an honor to be there to capture it. There were so many wonderful moments today. Here are two….
So beautiful. The baby, the family, their moments….I just can’t get over the miracle of it all. It hits me every single time. Each experience is so unique, so special, so valuable. I have so much to share, totally amazing day that started with a session at dawn, a crazy morning with my monkeys, a trip to Hobby Lobby with 2 of said crazy monkeys that resulted in me getting ‘the call’, dropping my basket and hightailing it out of there at mach speed ((insert public apology to the clerk I ‘almost’ ran over on my way out here….sorry dude, I was on a mission!)) and the amazing birth of the above little beauty. A fun whirlwind to say the least! Can I just say it again, my job rocks!
And a quick, huge thank you to Polly, your beefed up sneak peek will be up tomorrow, promise! And Emily, for being so understanding about our rescheduled meeting this evening. I can’t wait to capture the birth of your little miracle as well!!
And now, this tired photographer is off to bed! zzzzzzzzzz
