And grow and change they did…

When we moved to Austin I was 5 months pregnant with Teagan. We didn’t open Life in Motion here right away, we closed the business in Louisiana and let our move linger into maternity leave. I took 6 months off to stay home with Teagan before I was itching to get back to work. My very first full session on the books was for an adorable little family with a 3 month old little boy named John Michael. That adorable family is now ever more adorable believe it or not as they have added to their crew. I was thrilled when they invited me back after the birth of their second son Noah, who is also 3 months old. I know I’ve said it a million times but I truly am so lucky to be invited in to the homes of my clients and capture how much they have grown and changed. And grow and change they did…

Mary Beth and Michael, thank you for asking me to document your beautiful family again!

a lot changes in a year | austin family & maternity photographer

I got to photograph this adorable family last fall and I was so excited when they booked for family photos this year too.  A lot has changed, little miss A is a year older and looks like such a big girl now.  And they have a new baby on the way, exciting times.  I absolutely loved the light tonight, so pretty, but we had to work fast because it dropped off quick.  Miss A walked right over and threw me a bunch of smiles straight away….color me impressed!

And thanks guys for being such troopers at sunset….I lost count of the number of mosquitoes I cloned out of that shot!  I hope it was worth it and you’re not too itchy tonight 😉

Thank You For A Great 2008

2008 was the year we moved our business from Louisiana to Austin, and to be quite honest, I was a nervous wreck about it.  While I only worked here for a few months due to maternity leave, I had some of the most amazing clients!  Thank you for making my first months here so amazing….without you, these moments would never be captured!  Here are just a few of the favorites that caught my eye this year….

I am still shocked an amazed that I was named Austin’s Best Kids Photographer for 2008 by the Chronicle.  Thank you to each of my clients for entrusting me with your memories and for allowing me to do something I love so very much.  I can’t wait to see what is to come in 2009!

ps – If you’re reading via google reader, head on over to the blog and check out the new headers….you might see someone you know!

pps – I’ll be showcasing some of my favorite family images from 2008 in the next couple of days

ppps – I have a little secret – but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what it is!

I thought I’d share a few more…

he’s just way too cute to only share a few from his sneakpeek.  I just sent this little guys momma their coffee table book designs and I thought I’d come and share a few of my favorite shots from their session while I was at it.

and I just love this 10×20 storyboard!  it pretty much sums up being a little boy at the park, leaves, rocks, sticks…now that’s livin’…
