2nd Annual Life in Motion Photography Little Monsters Bash | Austin Photographer Lyndsay Stradtner

I am so thrilled and proud to announce that the 2nd Annual Life in Motion Photography Little Monsters Bash was a HUGE success.  It was a wonderful party with TONS of cuties running around in their costumes.  Thank you to everyone who came, donated, partied, brought food, shuffled kiddos, etc.!  Thanks to each one of you we raised $1,700!!!! Seventeen hundred!!  In just a few hours on a Saturday morning.  That’s HUGE.  Every single penny is being donated to aid in cancer research at MD Anderson Hospital in the name of Jon Urban.  Jon is the husband of my dear friend and mentee MC, and we just couldn’t think of a better cause to donate funds to this year.  If cancer has ever touched your life, you know that treatment can be lifesaving, and every single dollar donated to research helps!  I can tell you that it feels so amazing to do something meaningful.  To do something that matters.  No matter how busy we are, no matter how tired, nothing feels better than doing something good like this.  Nothing.  I am so proud and thankful for each and every person who came out today, thank you for making it happen!!!

A slideshow of all the cuties in costume is forthcoming, but word on the street is that there are some :::::cough cough MC, et al cough cough:::: hitting refresh every 5 seconds or so waiting for a teaser.  I just couldn’t decide who to share…..way too tough of a choice.  So I let my husband choose.  And I shouldn’t be surprised, after all, they did win tonight!

Cuteness overload.  I think there is only one thing left to say….

real quick | austin toddler photographer lyndsay stradtner

Just a quick little sneak peek of the beautiful Miss Meghan from our early session this morning.  You know what’s crazy??  Meghan is just a day older than Teagan, born in the same hospital, right down the hall.  Isn’t it crazy how small and how big this world is all at the same time?  I mean….what are the odds?!

Thanks for meeting up with me this morning guys, it was fun!!

I have so much more to blog about, I feel very behind in my blogging efforts, today was an insanely busy day though….so I’ll have to come back and share more soon….

the birthday girl | austin child photographer lyndsay stradtner

As I finish up their order I wanted to come back and share a few more of Miss Inara’s first birthday session.  You can see her sneak peek here.  I’m going to start off this post with my favorite of the day….

She’s grown so much since I saw her last.  I just can’t get over how much babies change that first year, it’s crazy!  Some of my most favorite shots ever are the ones from her 6 month session loving on her momma.  That is one thing that has not changed.

She had so many new tricks, including walking!  I was impressed, especially when we took off her shoes and it didn’t slow her down one single bit.  She’s fast!

and I love this series of chair photos, she looks like such a big girl!

look, another new trick, clapping…

silly goose

Then it was time to change into her birthday outfit.  Get ready for this…..can you believe her mom made this parasol??  It’s so gorgeous, it needed a shot of it’s own!  Loooove it!

another fave

time for cake.  yummy!  she wasn’t really a fan of cake getting messy.

the feet up in the air crack me up

Happy Birthday big girl!!!  And a super big thank you for bringing Ty, Taryn and Teagan some smarties all the way from Canada!!  So thoughtful!

where they live and love | austin family and lifestyle photographer lyndsay stradtner

I absolutely love in-home, true lifestyle sessions.  And this is one of my all time favorites.  In fact, when I went in to pull images to blog from their session it was 27, yikes!  Awesome family, filled with love and laughter, gracious enough to share a glimpse into their world with little old me….

I photographed the birth of this beautiful little one just a few months ago….

Little miss was sleeping when I got there and I was so happy to catch these moments of her momma gathering her up out of her crib.  Maybe it’s because the crib is gone at our house and Teagan now walks out of his room after naps, but man, these two shots get me…..

and her super cute big brother

faves!!!

but I absolutely love the shots of them just hanging out, being a family, doing what they do, hangin’ on the couch….I want shots like this of my family!

Brad & Noelle, I can’t wait to see you guys again in a few months, thanks for entrusting me with your memories!!

birthday girl | austin child photographer

I got to go hang out with little miss Inara this morning and capture her birthday photos.  The last time I saw her she was 6 months old and oh my goodness she has grown and changed so much!!  She’s so tall and her hair has gone from red to a little more blond.  But she still very much the same happy little girl…..

Silly goose!  And she had all sorts of new tricks to show me, clapping, waving, and let’s not forget walking!!

And not just walking, but running too.  She’s pretty fast!  I was super impressed!  Happy Birthday big girl!

brothers | austin newborn & family photographer

MC and her beautiful family came out for a few family shots tonight.  While downloading this one jumped out at me as an instant fave!

Love them!!  I mean seriously, does it get any cuter than these two??

I still have so many to go through from tonight but here are a few more from our first go around….

A different take on this shot….

I think this one is my favorite though.  I absolutely LOVE the itty tiny bitty amount of space between his big toe and his belly.  It’s barely there, but I adore it.

Most of you know I’m a big fan of the elvis lip.  Uh, uh, huh.

Lots more to come!
