austin_cancer_charity_event

I know there are quite a few people waiting on this and I’m so excited to come share it.  This event started last year, with 10 families who helped MC and I raise some money for Team in Training.  This year, we went bigger, way bigger, and invited not 10, but 50 families (over 60 kids!!!) to the event to benefit MD Anderson hospital in the name of Jon Urban.  60 kids in 3 hours….that means 20 kids per hour and approximately only 3 minutes with each child!!  How crazy is that?!  Crazy and fun.  Anyway, Jon and MC have faced a lot this year, tackling cancer head on (you […]

It’s a bit crazy around here.  3 crazy kids and running a photography business during the busiest time of the year can be pretty overwhelming.  All of you photographers out there know what I mean and are whispering ‘amen’ under your breath right?  Every year, it never fails, you pull a bunch of all nighters, live off of coffee and mountain dew (I’m looking at your Jodie), plant your kids in front of the tv a little more than usual, call on family and friends to help you just make it through.  Meanwhile, your husband is just hoping and praying that someday, eventually, his wife will pull herself out of the mess and pile of work and re-emerge again in […]

Just a quick little sneak peek of the beautiful Miss Meghan from our early session this morning.  You know what’s crazy??  Meghan is just a day older than Teagan, born in the same hospital, right down the hall.  Isn’t it crazy how small and how big this world is all at the same time?  I mean….what are the odds?!

Thanks for meeting up with me this morning guys, it was fun!!

I have so much more to blog about, I feel very behind in my blogging efforts, today was an insanely busy day though….so I’ll have to come back and share more soon….

Real quick, just one of each of the gorgeous 7 kiddos I got to hang out with yesterday….

First up, Ethan.  His beautiful momma is a photographer but I saw zero signs of PCS (photographer child syndrome)….he was a dream!

Here are Colin & Addison.  They were some of my very first clients here in Louisiana.  It’s always fun to see how much they have grown (and boy have they!)  Looking at Addi, there is no sign of the itty bitty baby I first photographed, 100% big girl now.

and Little Miss Laney….oh my gosh I fell in love with her curls.  seriously!

I absolutely loved this session, and when I went in to pick which photos to share here on the blog, I couldn’t narrow my faves down.  So kick up your feet and get ready for a long post!  Little Miss A is such a beauty.  Her momma warned me that she’d be a bit shy for the camera so when I got to the location, we took it slow.  I sat down and showed her my camera, she even helped me take a photo.  I also came armed with stickers and bubbles and puppets.  I don’t blame kids sometimes for being apprehensive about being photographed.  You go to the park, meet this new person carrying this big black box and […]

I was so excited to finally get to meet up with a cute little family tonight.  We had to reschedule several times, one due to an illness in my family, once due to really bad weather and once due to the location being unavailable.  But thankfully, the 4th time was a charm and this little cutie was worth the wait!!!

Thanks for all your patience guys, it was so nice to finally get to meet you!  Hope you like your sneak peek and I’ll have many more for you soon!
