Six month olds are one of my absolute favorite ages to photograph.  They are always so happy, but not yet mobile enough to get away from me.  I love that it doesn’t take much to get eye contact and this age is soooo expressive, a photographer’s dream!  I’ve always said that if you are going to splurge on custom portraits of your child, there is no better time than as a newborn (before 14 days) and at 6 months (sitting well but not fully crawling).  It’s a small window on both accounts, but so, so worth it!!!!

And this little miss was no exception!  It was a little cold this morning, but she was a champ, is she cute or what?!?!  […]

a few more from my session with teri and her family…..could she be any cuter???

when i told her how much i love her curly hair i was informed she doesn’t really have curly hair, she slept in pink foam rollers and oh man did that bring back some memories of being a little girl.  those things were so uncomfortable and trying to find just the right position to lay your head so you could fall asleep was next to impossible.  but it didn’t matter though, when you have straight, thin hair, there is nothing more exciting than to see your hair all bouncy the next morning.  who needs sleep when […]

Check it out!  Little T and Kylie ((our dog)) are in the greeting card aisle!!!

I was commissioned by a card company last year and I am so excited to partner with them in the future as well.  They purchased two images for their most recent release and I just got the box of samples in the mail yesterday!!!!  So, if you are in the US, Canada, Australia or Ireland and you see my cuties in the greeting card aisle….give a wink and a smile for me!!

While I am out of the park thrilled about this, Little T is not.  When I showed her the cards it just brought back traumatic […]

what?….did you think I was photographing fruit or something??  ha.

i tried out the pioneer woman’s bw action on this one.  i like it, which says alot, because I always have a hard time converting anything with red in it and being happy with the results.  yeah, i’m probably the last person on the planet to discover her and get hooked on her blog.  i think i heard somewhere she was in austin awhile back or something and clicked on her blog out of curiousity.  i’ve been a blog stalker ever since…..

love these two from yesterday too…..

2008 was the year we moved our business from Louisiana to Austin, and to be quite honest, I was a nervous wreck about it.  While I only worked here for a few months due to maternity leave, I had some of the most amazing clients!  Thank you for making my first months here so amazing….without you, these moments would never be captured!  Here are just a few of the favorites that caught my eye this year….

I am still shocked an amazed that I was named Austin’s Best Kids Photographer for 2008 by the Chronicle.  Thank you to each of my clients for entrusting me with your memories and for allowing […]
