I have been a working machine this weekend.  I finished all the Louisiana mini sessions (those shares are coming soon once I hear back from everyone regarding their galleries) AND I finished proofing Jodie’s family beach session.

I am feeling a bit of pressure to post something really interesting after her well worded and thoughtful post when she shared our images.  ((be sure to click on that link, not only will you see my family, but Jodie’s new kick butt blog too))  What should I talk about?  Cellulite?  Nah…..let’s just get this party started by sharing some photos and talk about how fan-flippin-tastic this family is.  They are real and honest and uh, yeah, did I mention, adorable.  Just look […]

hey crazy lady, i don’t see anything in there | austin family photographer

I don’t know if I’m super tired from a crazy long week or what….but this totally gave me a case of the giggles tonight.  I had to come share.  One of the tricks we photographers use to get kids to look into the black box of torture is by telling them there is something interesting in there.  I’ve used everything from princesses to elmo to candy to airplanes to, well….whatever.  And it usually works at least once to get some good eye contact.  But every now and then I catch one of these “what the heck crazy lady, i don’t see nothin’ in there!” looks.  All you photographers out there know what I’m talking about, you get them too…..

Another Slidell mini session is up and ready to share.  Charli and her beautiful family were one of my very first clients in Louisiana.  The first time I photographed them Addison was just a tiny little baby….but now, she’s a beautiful little girl….

And colin, he was the cutest little toddler running around the house back then.  But just today, this big kid started kindergarten.  No way!!!

I just can’t get over how fast time flies…

Just a quick little sneak peek of the beautiful Miss Meghan from our early session this morning.  You know what’s crazy??  Meghan is just a day older than Teagan, born in the same hospital, right down the hall.  Isn’t it crazy how small and how big this world is all at the same time?  I mean….what are the odds?!

Thanks for meeting up with me this morning guys, it was fun!!

I have so much more to blog about, I feel very behind in my blogging efforts, today was an insanely busy day though….so I’ll have to come back and share more soon….

I thought I’d take a quick break from proofing to come share the shots from one of my Slidell mini sessions with Brandi and her adorable family.

Brandi is a photographer located in Picayune, Mississippi, not too far from Slidell.  I was thrilled when she booked, she’s like me and always on the other side of the lens, but we photogs need (and want!) pics with our families too!

I love shooting in Old Town Slidell….although it is always a bit weird to see it during the day since I mostly hung out at the bar strip at night in my much (much) […]
