Thanks to everyone who has come to visit my little old blog – I love all the comments! Keep em coming!
Today we had a hard time deciding what to do. We found a great little hole in the wall diner with decor straight out of the 70’s. Complete with gold sunburst clocks and brown tile floors. But the food was awesome, we’re going back for breakfast again tomorrow. My handsome hubby…
Here is Taryn diving into the tour guide book trying to decide what to do for the day.
It started storming during breakfast so we decided to put off the plantation and beach until tomorrow in hopes for better weather. Instead we decided to go downtown to the Charleston Children’s Museum. We all had a blast! They had so many great things for the kids to do and they both loved it. From the water room, to the ball room, the shopping market, and the art room, so fun.
Then off to lunch at a pasta place next door. I finally got smart and started carrying a yellow crayon in my purse, her single most favorite color in the whole world. I just think she’s so pretty (it’s ok for me to say that since she looks NOTHING like me).
We spotted this cute little cupcake shop across the street. It was so cute.
And yummy.
And messy.
Leaving cupcakes we spotted a dog bakery across the street. Who knew dogs needed their own bakery?? Missing Kylie like crazy Ty wanted to go in and buy her some treats. Once inside, it was a pretty cool place.
After that, Taryn and I came back to the hotel because she was in desperate need of a nap, while Ty and Jase went to Blackbeard’s Cove for some arcade games, putt-putt golf and go-carts. We then had dinner at this place out on Daniel Island, which is probably one of the nicest little towns we have ever been in. So new and pretty, well thought out. Just beautiful. Queen Ann’s Revenge is a pirate restaurant, seriously cool artifacts dating back to the 1600’s, right up Jason’s alley. There was a big boat going down the center of the restaurant and huge chains holding up our massive table. The waitress was cracking up laughing when Ty ordered a pizza by saying "EY MATEY I’LL HAVE A CHEESE PIZZA" in his best pirate voice! So funny!
I just realized I didn’t post any pics of Ty. I only got a few of him at the museum and he managed to elude me the rest of the day. Stinker.
So tomorrow we are trying to do the plantation again, and the beach. It’s supposed to be pretty and cooler. Can’t wait!
Looks like such a great trip. Love the colorful pics from the museum!
